The 6th Seal, Civilization’s Reset? (Part 1)

NB: This series lays out an integrated conceptual framework: the context and implications of The Lord opening the 6th seal on His scroll, triggering a series of global judgments that may end this current 3rd age of our history—the post-cross age of free Grace to all peoples—and may also create conditions that lead to a one world government. This series is best read as a whole, pausing as needed to digest and reflect. I seek no agreement with my perceptions and intuitions. I encourage you to your own in-depth study of Scripture, and allow The Holy Spirit to shape your understanding of these predicted events.

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’ (Revelation 6:12-17)

Background

 

During Apostle John’s Revelation vision on Patmos Island, circa AD 95, The Lord twice promised to show him ‘things which must shortly take place’ on Earth, so John could inform The Lord’s servants—presumably the early Christians. History reveals how, shortly after John’s vision, some of the early predictions in Revelation 6, began to unfold across the Earth. Notably, Chapter 6 is the first chapter in Revelation that describes judgments with direct, observable impacts on the Earth; earlier chapters are largely contextual. Chapter 6 lists 6 unique sets of increasingly severe judgments against humanity—each released as The Lord opens a seal on His scroll. These six seals, however, do not exhaust Heaven’s judgments. They precede a final, 7th seal that will later unleash Heaven’s full set of apocalyptic judgments (Revelation 8–16), culminating in Christ’s return to rule the Earth, as depicted in Revelation 19:11–21.

In Israel, A Model (Part 3), I note that history reveals the impacts on Earth, of The Lord having already opened the first 4 seals on His scroll. As such, I conclude He literally meant what He twice promised to Apostle John, with one qualification. The Lord’s phrase, ‘must shortly’ (‘behooveth’ in the Young’s Literal Translation (YLT)), gives us the indication that these events would happen quickly. Rather, it appears their initiation occurred quickly, but the FULL SET of judgments would be released sequentially across the entire 3rd age of our history! Please re-read that point.  

 

Use of the word, quickly, in this passage, in several versions of The Bible, may have caused traditional teachings to believe the FULL SET of these ‘seals judgments’ would be relegated to the apocalypse—the predicted final half (42 months) of the 7-year 4th age! This perspective assumes the entirety of Heaven’s (a) seals judgments, (b) trumpets judgments, and (c) bowls judgments, and their cumulative, cascading impacts, would be crammed into an extremely tight 42-month period! Moreover, this perspective appears to turn a blind eye to various ‘judgments of Biblical proportions’ that occurred early in this current age—events that clearly correlate with predicted impacts of the first 4 seals judgments! Thus, I intuit this traditional perspective may be totally unrealistic, given the inferred intensities and durations of the impacts of opening the first 4 seals, relative to the predicted 42-months of the apocalypse. I trust this is clear.

 

If the first 4 seals judgments have already been released, and since opening the 5th seal will have no discernible impact on Earth, next in line for us will be the horrendous global impacts of The Lord opening the 6th seal on His scroll. What follows, therefore, is not speculation about a distant apocalypse, but a sober examination of the next prophetic event that would logically and sequentially impact the Earth.

 

In Human History Ages (Series), I noted The Bible indicates each of our predicted 6 ages on this current version of Earth, will end with some kind of global judgment. I intuited the global judgment that might end this current (3rd) age, might be revealing the final anti-Christ man who will quickly rise to dominate the 4th age—the tribulation age. I now ponder whether his revelation might be the result of the cumulative impacts of opening the 6th seal on The Lord’s scroll. Here’s why: 

The cumulative damages across the world from those impacts

will likely trigger survivors to clamor for somebody, ANYBODY

who can LEAD a global restoration of order,

and the re-building of core infrastructure—post-disaster

Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction.

 

As such, I ponder whether Heaven’s RATIONALE for the drastic, global impacts of opening the 6th seal, might well be to trigger conditions that will demand, and then lead to the revelation of a predicted ONE WORLD ORDER, led by the final anti-Christ man, thus fulfilling many Bible prophecies. Take a moment to let that sink in…

 

In light of the above, let’s proceed to examine the context and implications of opening the 6th seal, from the perspective that it will not occur during the 42-month apocalypse, but likely at the end of this current 3rd age of human history. In other words, let’s consider those impacts as likely Heaven’s verdict against this 3rd age of human history, pre-written at the end of the 1st century.
