Problems-to-Perceptions (Poem)

Problems of sinful fruits now stinking,
Pressures of lives in our world sinking,
Prayers of hearts divided, now bonding,
Perceptions of Love’s seeds responding.

Problems of physical pain across our land,
Pressures from opioids and street drugs at hand,
Prayers from righteous people these things do demand,
Perceptions of despair only then disband.

Problems of escalating gun violence,
Pressures of conflicting opinion variance,
Prayers of the mournful drown NRA’s alliance,
Perceptions of fruits from enterTAINTment’s license.

Problems of national morality eroded,
Pressures of family and work mores imploded,
Prayers for personal repentance are scapegoated,
Perceptions of immorality, sugarcoated.

Problems of discriminate opportunity,
Pressures of wealth and income inequality,
Prayers of the poor for justice, not just charity,
Perceptions that our world prefers ...military.

Problems of global weather patterns gone amuck,
Pressures on budgets for repairs with which we’re stuck,
Prayers of farmers, the poor, and coastal dwellers struck,
Perceptions of a world increasingly awestruck.

Problems in our world from hardly any fear of God,
Pressures demonic to think that is ok, not odd,
Prayers that with righteousness,
‘hands will be gloved, and feet shod’,
Perceptions of God’s released ...angelic judgment squad.

Problems at home amassing from our own new normal,
Pressures that America’s new normal is global,
Prayers for America’s leadership, now fickle,
Perceptions that world leadership we will now annul.

Problems like those noted above, and so much more, global,
Pressures mounting toward an era, tribulational,
Prayers of Christ’s saints who will escape the worst, predictable,
Perceptions of His soon return as Earth’s King, triumphal.

Problems of our sinful fruits still stinking,
Pressures of lives in our world still sinking,
Prayers of our hurting hearts and lives out-crying,
Perceptions of God’s Hand to us outreaching.

Though self-inflicted all of our problems seem to be,

May their unbearable pressures take us to our knee.

God will hear prayers of repentant sinners promptly,

And will send perceptions of His answers gracefully.

Of being a sinner, we all qualify!

To pay for our sin, He sent Jesus to die.

Your turn: Him you must accept, and not deny,

So His sacrifice to your life will apply.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

Tribulation Age Precursors: Moral Compass, Flipped (Poem)

Compass needles are delicate magnetic instruments.

With the earth's natural magnetic field they do align.

They may experience a ‘poles reversal incidence’, ¹

If to compass needles, other magnets their poles assign.

Here is a notion that perhaps may not be well known.

The moral compass of a person or a people,

Is like a delicate instrument, but culture grown.

Their ‘needles’ can also flip, but changes are …subtle.

Since the decades of the 1960s,

Morality in our nation has really slipped,

We’ve all prioritized our ‘Me jollies,’

Thus morality became more and more ...unzipped.

There were some voices that tried to stem the tide,

But when politically they did organize,

Their voices became mere political snide,

The result of morality …politicized. 

The so-called Moral Majority, 

No longer a clear, sound moral compass;

Never a plural majority,

In a nation that now seems …rudderless. 

The evangelical so called ‘right’,

At morality, in ‘16 it winked.

It now seems very ‘wrong’, no longer ‘right’.

Now it’s moral authority seems …kinked. 

God said from His Church in the latter day,

There would be a very great falling away.

From morality, politics made them sway.

Of the latter day, is this the matinee??

If so, rest assured the full, ‘nighttime’ version is next.

With gross immorality from the bottom-to-the-top,

For a long time, we will be reeling from its effect.

From seeds sown to whirlwinds, now it’s harvest time

from our crop.

That is unless we learn lessons from ancient Amorites, ²

About whom God told Abraham He would give ~400 years,

Grace to repent of iniquities, and set things aright.

They blew their chance, so most fell by Israel’s

arrows and spears.

Long ago God told His prophet who was perceptive,

‘I’m in earth exercising Grace, Justice, and Right-ness.’ ³

Observant minds, note an order that is instructive:
Justice must follow Grace, and always precedes Right-ness.

When immorality boldly comes ‘out of its closet’,

And righteousness ceases this once great nation to exalt, ⁴

It won’t be long before we are on God’s judgment docket.

Alas, if only His Church, would return to being …salt.

Once the poles of a compass needle have flipped,

With a stronger magnet the needle is re-magnetized.

Once immorality in a land has become unzipped,

Only by God’s strong punishment is it fully …excised.

Beware the Carnal Mind (Poem)

Watch out and beware of our carnal mind,
Working in stealth to keep us in a bind,
Trying to 'resolve' things logically.
God says, 'With Me, this mind is enmity'. ¹

Consider that our lives are like icebergs, floating in the sea.
Only above the water line is what you and I can see.
What lies below that line of our Godless carnality,
Can only be perceived by our spirituality.

To go below this line, we'll need a special diver's mask,
Made of strong materials and a special kind of glass;
Materials of a life that in Jesus Christ has been sealed,
And the 'lens' of His Word through which the mass below

...is revealed.

‘In Christ, we are blessed with all things spiritual,
Word seeds to be planted in minds and hearts fertile.’ ²
This concept will seem useless to the mind that is carnal,
Missing links between God’s Word seeds

and all things physical. 

‘Give and it will be given to you in abundance,
A spiritual law that requires faith and patience.’ ³
At this notion, the carnal mind will fret,
Imprisoned by the Law of Greed and Get.

‘Guard your heart and its gate, the mind,

with all diligence,’
A father’s words to his son on mental indolence. ⁴
But to the carnal mind such wisdom is futile,
Preferring to feed on all things vile and evil.

A frog in a pot of cold water, put on low heat,
Won’t discern the heat, so it will simply ...keep its seat. 
So we cannot easily discern our carnal mind,
Until after it has put our lives in a real ‘bind’.

Life’s ‘binds’, to us, will be so highly instructive,
When to God’s wisdom we have not been receptive! 
But then we will be saddled with every consequence,
Of our emotional and carnal incontinence.

God designed us as portals through which He could stem,
Evil in our world that He’ll return to condemn. ⁵
But if we’re trapped in tides of carnal volatility,
We’ll be useless to enhance collective life quality. 

Again, watch out, beware the carnal mind,
Working in stealth to keep us in a bind.
Why walk in its shadowy counsels of darkness? 
Let God’s Word dispel its shadows with great brightness.

Angels On the Run (Poem)

Seeds spiritual transform into roots, then fruits of things.

To prayers of the faithful, Christ sends Words

on faith’s strong wings.

His Words come as seeds to be sown in faith after received.

But what if we miss them, seeds sent,

yet remain unperceived?

For every prayer, Christ ‘eyes’ a bigger prize:

His Glory in us, the apple of His eyes,

Achieved as in us He develops His fruit.

Our prayers + His seeds merge to produce His fruit.

So along with your prayers, ask for faith to perceive,

His seed answers to all that you believe you receive. ¹

This way, your mind and spirit will be on the lookout, 

For seeds so small and subtle, from which

BiG things will sprout.

Ask also for enough insight and introspection,

To see links between these seeds and His fruit inspection. 

As you prioritize His fruit development process, 

He will ensure things for which you believe will coalesce.

In all your asking and your believing,

Let it be joy that you are releasing,

It takes joy to make gratitude activate,

Thus ensuring seeds you receive germinate.

His faith-filled Words that created everything,

Are what He’ll use, answers to you to bring.

With His Words, angels hear, then run with them swiftly! ²

Tip:

Practice tuning into their conversations …boldly!

Their conversations you can also influence!

Indeed. This I say to you with all deference.

Since for His Words they listen, then swiftly run,

Then let it be His Words that stream from your tongue! ³

God answers prayers with Word seeds that beckon,

Instructions to His holy angels given.

Since Jesus died and was raise to make you God’s son,

Let His Words from your mouth put …angels on the run. ⁴

God is indeed faithful in answering the prayers of the faithful.

His answers are in the form of spiritual seeds, received by faith.

Everything that exists began this way....everything.

It covers every facet of human life (except the first death, according to Hebrews 9:27). 2 Peter 1:3-4 ascertains the links between Bible promises and all things pertaining to living a godly, human life. Putting ‘angels on the run, swiftly’ thus requires (1) an intimate knowledge of these promises, and (2) a sharp perception of the spirit, not just knowing the letter of these promises. Both are available to you.

Un-hearing Ears (Poem)

We build such sensitive radio telescopes,

And in them we place such high hopes.

Listening deeply across the universe, non-stop,

They’re capable of hearing even a snowflake drop!

We build powerful telescopes through which to peer,

Across the very vast universal frontier.

Searching for clues to help us understand,

The universe’s past, its ‘motherland’.

We’re told whatever these devices may reveal,

Will for mankind the universal past unseal.

And that in straining to peer and hear from the past,

We will get clues from that ‘first universal blast.’

Yet in all of our straining to look and listen,

We ignore the ‘in your face’ clues God has given.

Many consider what He has said as simply fiction.

Thus we persist in piling up costs and data mountains.

His clues quietly scream His permeating presence,

As the denominator of all that is science.

His visible clues affirm what He’s said in His Word,

And they also underscore how much science has erred.

We send signals to spacecraft with no hindrance,

Yet miss the signals God sends to our conscience.

His clues also point to another dimension,

That always seems to escape our attention.

His presence permeates life’s every fiber and aspect,

Though we deny there is a Creator and Architect.

As we ponder and theorize about dark matter,

We foolishly insult the One Who is life’s Author.

Science, keep on listening, peering and wondering.

In a short while, He’ll be upstaging your blundering!

Coming back in a blaze of GLORY with folk like me in tow,

His very presence upending scientific status quo!
