It doesn’t take having a spiritual eye and mind to perceive our world is daily plunging deeper, and deeper into spiritual darkness. While we naturally expect un-saved people to ‘act out their sinful nature’, our eyes should widen, and our ears perk-up when we learn of formerly professing Christians decidedly ‘extinguishing their inner Christ-Light’. Since the end of the Covid 19 pandemic, there have been increasing reports, as well as visible evidence of such. There is a growing ‘affinity for apostasy’.
Students of The Bible will immediately recognize this is exactly what Apostle Paul predicted in his letters. (See: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 and 1 Timothy 4:1). And if you perceive the seven letters Jesus dictated to Apostle John for the seven churches in Asia, might also indicate seven stages His Church would transit, then …heads-up! Clearly, we are in the seventh stage, that of the church at Laodicea. (For more on this, see Laodicean Lackadaisicalness (Series).)
Across The Bible, The Lord has given to us a variety of strategic signs to signal the rapidly approaching end of this third age of human history, and the transition to the fourth age, the short tribulation age. Some signs are clear and direct, while others are indirect, requiring devoted discernment to perceive. Some have long been with us.
