NOW: Body--physical, Soul & Spirit--immortal.
ETERNALLY: Body, Soul & Spirit--immortal.
For complex questions that baffle our thinking,
Let’s turn to an Expert Who’s trustworthy.
Be careful from whose wisdom well you’re drinking,
Lest you’re attracted to mere trumpery. 1
Who better to ask than The One Who acclaims,
To have created the life that we now live??
When death comes knocking, it’s His breath He reclaims,
Since He’s said, ‘Breath is Mine, to take or to give.’ 2
There’s only One Person in all of history,
Who has lived, died, and returned—bodily.
On this question, He speaks authoritatively!
So other opinions, shun completely!!!
He says, with His image, we’re aligned,
Spirit, Soul and Body – tripartite!
No other creature bears His design.
In death, for a time, we’re bipartite.
That’s right! As spirit and soul, we will live on,
Fully conscious of where we have been assigned—
In hellish torment, or with Him on His Throne,
Awaiting our final body, He’s designed. 3
‘In hell forever.’-- NOT TRUE, as many folks have thought!
That’s where sinners must wait for The Lord’s judgment day.
From there, they’ll get a reprieve—I’m surprised that’s not taught!!
In new bodies, they’ll meet Him, then …be cast away. 4
Into His lake of fire--bigger, maybe hotter than hell,
There, they will forever join all devils, death …and hell.
But with the spirit of death there, they will not die! Pray tell?!
Against The Lord God, they will have lived and died as rebels. 5
If onto this poem, your eyes have fallen,
And to read it, stark though it is, you’ve been mindful,
Please know Spirit of The Lord—Sovereign,
Has, to my prayer to attract you, been faithful.
He is there with you now, perceive His presence.
Then make your own decision, with His support.
To believe it, or respond in repugnance,
The proverbial ball is …now in your court…

1 Trumpery - something without use or value; worthless stuff.
2 See: Ecclesiastes 12:7, Luke 16:22–23 and Revelation 6:9–10.
3 The Bible iteratively attests and demonstrates our spirit and soul are eternal. (See: Titus 3:5 and John 3:6) Adam’s sin stained our spirit and soul (our mind, will, emotions, intellect, imagination), and rendered our bodies subject to temporary death. Jesus Christ, The Lord God and Creator, became a human, to die, and pay the price to renew righteousness in the spirit of us who, by faith, embrace His death as substitutionary, for us. He then designed His Bible, and sent His Holy Spirit to teach us how to renew our soul to its righteous state. Thus, ‘He saves/renews our spirit, and instructs us to ‘save/renew’ our soul’. (See: James 1:21 and Romans 12:2)
4 Study: Revelation 14:9-12, 20:7-15, and 22:18-19. See: Hades, Twice Robbed, Then Lobbed.
