May 1948, An Abutment (Poem)

In The Lord’s Multi-millennial Strategic Plan for us, ¹

He selected May 14, 1948 to fulfill Heaven’s,

Ancient prediction made in Ezekiel 37—

The unified restoration of Israel and Judah.

 

In military terms, He phrased that prediction, uniquely,

By equating the revived nation as ‘a mighty army.’

Thus, the IDF was formed 12 days later, amazingly!

And less than 15 months later, it won its first victory!! ²

 

Since then, the IDF has fought, and won, 7 of 8 wars. 

No other army in history has enjoyed such success,

EXCEPT the one led by David, who sought The Lord to impress. ³

 

Yet The Lord made another prediction, one that’s uncanny! 

In Ezekiel 38, He calls,

Israel, ‘a people dwelling without walls!’

Today, such a situation is extremely uncanny!! ⁴

 

As I inquired about the gap between these two chapters,

The Lord gave to me this image:

They are abutments of a bridge,

That over troubled waters span, to times of great dangers! ⁵

As I review developments across our world,

I learn of increasing dangers in every sector,

And alarming readings from every kind of sensor!

Yet crescendos of greater dangers will unfurl!!

 

During past gaps like this, Heaven was silent:

From Genesis 6-to-7, only The Lord knows how long.

And centuries before His birth, its silence was very strong. 

Both times presaged The Lord’s age-ending judgments. ⁶

 

Zechariah 10 predicts a crowded Israel,

With Jewish folks over-spilling its ‘border rims’. 

That clearly hints of massive migrations! That’s grim,

When to them, the entire world will become …partial. ⁷

 

If so, don’t fret, because Isaiah 60 ‘takes the stand’,

And testifies of this, after they will have been reviled:

Glory days when a remnant will be favored, for a while.

Ending yo-yo relationships with the world …and its land. ⁸
