From the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ages of history, Heaven intended/intends to form armies with a bifurcated objective: (a) to fight different types of wars on The Lord’s command, and (b) to prove their faithfulness to qualify for personally-assigned roles in His Millennial Kingdom during the 5th age of history. As we approach the close of this 3rd age, I believe it is helpful to review how these armies have performed, and are currently performing in Heaven’s unique assignments.
Let's review how misplaced zeal can distort true worship — and how Heaven responds when obedience gives way to presumption.
As you review this series, keep in mind The Bible demonstrates The Lord operates in a series of repetitive, strategic patterns that are periodically interrupted with what I call, ‘shocking reversals’ of those patterns. The purpose of the latter may be to grab our attention and prevent our lackadaisicalness, assuming the status quo will continue. (See: Opposite Biblical Patterns (Series))
