Transformational Terror Tactics (Poem)

Our tongues are our brushes; our heart supplies the paint.

Our words form the images on the canvas of our lives.

They reveal an image once clear, but now is quite faint.

It is this fading image, Friend, I hope my rhyme revives.

The once clear, but now fading image of which I speak,

Has left us with a painting that is so very flawed.

I’m wondering, has your curiosity been piqued?

That to which I refer is …our fading Fear of God.
(FoG)

We painted Him with rainbow colors, full of loving Grace,

Forever forgiving us, all our wrongs to overlook.¹

But the one color on Him, we’re all inclined to erase,

Is Him as our ‘Judge Ultimate’, as noted in His Book.²

Into each life, He has poured an attractive quality.

It’s unrelated to how others to us may react.

Do you think it is your magnetic personality??

No. It’s from Him what your lifestyle quality will attract.

Here’s something we down play, because we refuse to see:

Sin is a magnet, attracting its due wages.

We so ignore the direct ‘cause - effect linking key’.

This is the clear lesson from the Bible’s pages.

Another magnet is the righteousness walk,

But many of us prefer to deny its link,

To outcomes it attracts from God’s blessing vault.

This, too, we downplay, so at doing right, we wink.

When the wages of sin we do attract,

We wonder, ‘How could a loving God allow THAT?!’

To us it may well feel like ...a terror attack!

Thus we roll up and toss, our God-welcoming mat! ³

Though like terror attacks, wages of sin may seem,

Just know they’re only paid, when sin has been rampant.

But if by them all, you refuse to be redeemed,

Then you will become God’s lesson ...for a remnant.⁴

Current days of terrorizing attacks the world over,

May seem like something dark, and so very verboten.

Under the sun, there’s really nothing new to uncover.

It’s just more of us, and 24-hour reporting.

Is it terror to apply pressure to ‘flip’ convicts,

Or strong tactics to flip enemy combatants??

Why think God shouldn’t do the same, in love that restricts,

With motives to flip YoU, or on looking remnants?!

‘If there is a calamity in a city,

Will not The Lord have caused it?’ ⁵ Still we don’t get it!

We downplay this Bible verse. Oh, how unwitty!

Thus in our mouths, we refuse His …correcting bit.

Though quite a reluctant Judge is He,

Sadly, His terrorizing tactics are effectual.

Still our Judge Ultimate He must be,

When at His admonishing Word we no longer tremble.

When to repentance His blessings fail to lead,⁶

And at His Word we will no longer tremble,

Our reluctant, but Judge Ultimate succeeds,

With terrorizing tactics, effectual.

Don’t be mistaken. Sins still attract their due wages,

Sins personal, societal or national.

Unless repented, there’ll be some form of death’s stages.⁷

You see...

God’s judgments are meant to be …transformational.

His righteous judgments, administered in loving grace,

Are always designed to change hearts, minds and ways.

They’re aimed to save you, or an observing remnant race,

From destructive sinfulness that to eternal death sways.

But for those of us who respond with disdain,

And who refuse to walk in His righteousness,

There is only one recourse that will remain:

They’ll know the full wages of their wickedness.

God used/will use His terrorist tactics through…

--Moses to free from Egypt the Israelites

--Joshua to destroy the city of Jericho

--Gideon to defeat thieving Midianites

--David to force nations into his portfolio

--Assyrians to enslave Israel’s ‘10 tribe slice’

--Chaldeans to force Judah in Babylon to trudge

--Rome to whip and then slay Jesus, God’s sin sacrifice

--Rome to fertilize seeds of the Church in Christian blood

--Hitler to trigger a new world order; promise land restored

--Six Days of War to transfer Jerusalem’s control

--Angels’ bowls of vengeful wrath on the God-rejecting poured

--His nuclear response, turning armies into charcoal

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord

we persuade men.

(2 Cor.5:11)

¹ Really, this narrow view of Jehovah God is …a MYTH!

² God has committed ALL judgment to Jesus Christ.

³ Honestly, have you and/or someone you know said/done this?

⁴ An ‘attentive, perceiving remnant’ who will learn from your punishments, typically people who will turn to righteousness …after you have been taken out of the picture.

Reservists, in Service (Poem)

 Subtitle: ...By the likes of me!

For volunteer military recruits,

During basic training they get their boots.

There they learn the basics of warfare,

The ins-and-outs of enemies’ snares.

Then in one field they become specialists,

Even if they’re to serve as reservists.

On active duty reservists then serve,

Applying skills, and ‘building up their nerve’.

To civilian lives reservists return,

But annually practice all that they learned.

That is till their full service is required.

Then into full warfare they become mired.

Consider God’s similar ‘reservists plan’,

One He’s tailor made especially for man.

His army comprises all volunteers,

With active duty, then reservists years.

The new birth starts their basic training.¹

Insights into Him they’ll be gaining.²

Then into active duty they’re plunged,³

Until from this life they are expunged.

Then to ‘reservist status’ they’re assigned,

Body in graves, spirit with Christ aligned.

That is till their full service is required.

Then their glorified body is acquired.⁴

These reservists, then on active duty,

Will rule people who’ve been acting badly.

For a thousand years, Jesus will be in charge!

Pluralistic democracy …then discharged!

For a thousand years, His government shall be,

One all encompassing, worldwide monarchy.

One of His surrogate kings, I shall surely be.

So imagine being ruled ...by the likes of me! ⁵

Hey my Friend, the picture I paint need not be --

You or your descendants, being ruled …by me!

 At this thought, there is absolutely no need to be aghast!

Accept my invitation to join …Christ’s future ruling class.⁶

Life Insurance (Poem)

About life insurance, I’m sure we’ll all agree.

Insuring your life it can’t, so what can it be?

Life insurance? It’s really a big myth.

It’s just some money, paid upon your death.

Life insurance, eh? Man, what a misnomer!

Insuring life, it can’t, so what a bummer!

From our start, life forever was assured,

Until into sin Adam was allured.

‘The soul that sins, shall surely die,’ God said.

Since then, assuring life stuck in our heads.

But here is a very true statistic:

Most of us, into a grave, death will kick! *

But beyond the grave, we’ll all live again!

Eternal life’s in our DNA plan.

In God’s plan, your forever’s ‘pre-assured!’

But please, don’t let your vision be obscured.

There’s still the matter of where you will be,

When God clicks ‘START’ ...on your eternity.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
