Imagination Interrupters and Warrant (Poem)

Here’s a novel idea for your to ponder.

It is really great, and full of awesome wonder!

This is exactly what you and I really need.

So sit back, relax, read, and then all these words heed.

Worry is the devil’s best super glue

To get cares of the world to stick to you!

But a Word and faith-filled imagination

Will repel all devilish machinations!

When reviewing your bills and debts,

don’t get all upset and depressed.

If you’ve tithed your income,

roll them onto Jesus, then in Him rest.

He promised all your needs, not greeds, to meet.

So imagine them as met, as you bring His Words to His feet.

Your imagination is His powerful gift to you,

The doorway through which He’ll refresh and renew.

But beware, it can be easily corrupted

When your focus on Jesus is interrupted.

Cares of the world are satan’s army of corrupters,

His very effective ‘imagination interrupters’.

Let down your guard for only a moment,

They’ll quickly act on satan’s … ‘imagination warrant’!

Who's Winning?

Creation – a figment of God’s imagination.

In His image you are made, therefore…

Your life – a figment of your imagination.

In all you are and do, Jesus, by His Spirit and as Commander of Heaven’s hosts, is competing...continually trying to

capture, redirect and retrain your imagination.

Question:  Who’s winning?

Make the decision, take the time

to allow Him to win.

In many respects, it really is

 ‘a matter of life or death’.

Blog Posts & Rhymes (Poem)

 To You, Reader, with Appreciation

My preacher Dad’s voice was silenced in 2010. *

Interestingly, the following year is when

The Lord moved me to take up His mantle without time,

And to start sharing His message in blog posts and rhyme.

Blog posts and rhyme? Yep, blog posts and rhyme!
I never imagined,

That through me such would flow, 
plus the music and pictures captioned,

Sharing with you lessons I am learning

On issues that in my heart are churning.

As I ponder, pray and prepare these posts for your reading,

I trust it’s God’s hand at work in our lives; that He’s leading --

Leading me to discern what to write and you to read,

And that, by His Spirit, both you and me He will feed.

May The Good Lord bless you, the faithful few around the world,

Who stop by every now and then to see what I unfurl.

Special thanks to you who’re bold enough to 
comment in your name.

Though all views may not agree, it’s nice to know 
from whom views came.

I will keep on writing…

  Resting in Peace

Giant's Diet (Poem)

We love the story of David, the teenage giant killer.

Man!

It revs up my courage just reading about this thriller!

This little fella who ‘stood taller’ than Goliath,

Taller still as he ‘trophied’ the head of this mammoth!

Here’s a secret about this fella, I’ll tell you upfront,

One you need to use to slay the giants that you confront.

You see,

Before David could slay giants, externally,

He first had to feed ‘his giant’, internally.

He spent countless mornings and nights learning to recognize,

Then learning to feed the giant he was, deep down inside.

He discovered the ‘right stuff’ on which this giant would thrive,

Then he fed and fed, ‘till all other giants were …downsized!

Ummm…

What is this inside giant, and on what does he feed?

This you need to know; it’s exactly what you need.

There’s no way your outside giants can be defeated,

If your inside giant’s resources are depleted!

Your inside giant is your unlimited essence,*

The real you that you are, created in semblance

Of Him ‘Who is Who He is’, The LORD God Almighty

The Judge of ALL spirits, Creator of ALL is He.

He created all living things on fruits and plants to feed.

Then sin changed all of this, and now on each other we feast!

He fashioned our spirit to thrive on Light that’s in Him,

Then sin changed this, too, now we feed on things dark and dim.

This, David corrected, and changed his spirit’s diet.**

His relationship with God, he fed without limit.

With prayer, praise, and prostration, his giant began to stir,

It grew until, to him, it was the biggest giant on earth!

Lion, bear, DEAD! Now, Goliath’s importunity

On God’s great stage was just one more opportunity

To show this deviant and all those he was fleecing,

And show the world, too, on Whom David had been feeding!

Like all our world,

Are you still waiting for someone to come and slay

All those giants that are fleecing your world today?

If so, let’s just keep on feeding on Him Whom David fed.

Then,

Let’s see through whom our God will ‘trophy’...

 all their evil heads!
