A strategic perspective on Genesis 6:4
There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward,
when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men
and they bore children to them.
Note: This topic is controversial in Christian circles, perhaps because folks may omit to connect the dots between this verse and key, confirming New Testament verses, 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 6. Connecting the dots clarifies The Lord’s important message to humanity concerning what triggered the global flood. This poem also compares and contrasts the only two Biblically-recorded incidents of spirits impregnating human women.

Imagine mixed emotions of these girls and families,
Grateful for men some considered a ‘good catch’, yet worried,
The talk of town folks - from anxieties-to-jealousies.
‘Should we give our daughter(s) to them in marriage??’ Dads harried!
In the end, most of these parents consented,
And all their love-struck daughters were very pleased.
Soon babies were born, and folks were tormented:
The babies were strangely BIG, so folks were teased.
Unable to multiply, angels cannot increase their clan.
“I will put enmity between you and the woman,
Reproductive seed is endowed only to us gents!
For women to have seed requires Heaven’s intervention.
Thus, devils likely understood what The Lord’s words meant:
He, Himself, somehow, someway would be born of a woman! 2
He, their Creator, was now their arch enemy,
Following their failed attempted coup.
Their leader had already been bruised horribly.
Now on Earth, the fight would continue!!! 3
The Bible reveals devils only mimic and corrupt,
What they experienced in, and also from Heaven.
With the pronouncement their deceptions on Earth to disrupt,
The Lord signaled Earth was the new battleground chosen.
Could The Lord’s ‘cross-breeding’ point have echoed what devils had tried,
Eons before The Garden of Eden, to increase their ranks??
Is this part of the notion on which ‘The Gap Theory’ relies??
If so, on animals did they first test their DNA pranks?? 4
After humans’ DNA was hacked, their race hijacked,
By a contingent of devils who ‘left their proper domain’,
The Lord then devised a lengthy plan to counteract,
And rid the entire world of results that all Heaven disdained.
First…
He detained the offenders in eternal darkness and chains!!
Thus, the ranks of devils who tempt us was decreased, not increased!
No more ‘cross-breeding’! Humans and devils must stay in their lanes,
And thus avoid The Lord’s most fierce judgments
from being unleashed. 5
Next…
The Lord planted a seed who grew to become …Noah.
You know the story. From this FAITH GIANT, great faith was released!!
He warned people of a pending flood phenomena.
When the flood finally came, all except 8 souls were deceased.
Yet some time after the flood, there were more giant humans,
So all hacked DNA may not have been extinguished!
While Noah was ‘just and perfect in his generation’,
His descendant family was not so distinguished. 6
When many post-flood giants lived in The Lord’s Promised Land,
He sent Moses to free the Hebrew slaves from Egypt.
L-o-n-g before this, talking to Abraham, this was His plan:
To form armies into which these slaves He would conscript. 7
In time…
The Lord God fully purged our human DNA,
And took out of commission those devils who had ‘left their domain’. 5
Centuries on…
His Spirit impregnated a woman one day,
But He requested and received permission.
His Book makes this plain. 8
His plan was, and remains, to create a new race among us,
Whose spiritual DNA would be re-created.
Born-again Christians, we’re called, and it’s in Him we fully trust.
Compare this with devils’ plan by which humans were baited.
Ummmmm…..
After by Gabriel’s news, Mary was captivated,
I wonder whether her mind may have been briefly saturated,
By thoughts of those who once by devils were impregnated,
And of all souls, except 8, who in the flood were inundated.
Results of these two events contrast sharply:
Devils impregnating women brought death, globally!
The Holy Spirit impregnating Mary,
Offers us who are born again life, eternally!
In ‘seeding’ the human race:
Devils’ failed attempt, triggered the global flood,
And errant devils were locked away, judgment pending.
The Lord succeeded, and for us, spilled His blood,
Freeing from judgment, all who repent, knees bending…

3 lucifer lost his cherished name and position in Heaven as an anointed cherub, possibly in charge of heavenly worship music. In Ezekiel 28:11-16, in the midst of His message to the then King of Tyre, The Lord speaks to the spirit of satan, formerly lucifer, who possessed and tempted the King of Tyre into pride and evil, worthy of The Lord’s harsh judgment.
4 Before mating with humans, I’ve wondered if devils might have first tested their game plan on animals, e.g., giving birth to dinosaurs whom God also destroyed? Of course, the timing and presence of dinosaurs is open to much speculation based on apparent conflicts between The Bible and documented fossil records. The Gap Theory might address these conflicts by postulating a significant destructive period on Earth between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Search this blog for Gap Theory for more. 5 Remember, 1/3 of all angels rebelled and became fallen angels - devils/demons. Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4 reveal this third has been reduced as a result of what happened in Genesis 6:4. An insightful point: satan, the leader of all devils/demons, was not locked away at this time. he survives to carry on, but may require The Lord’s specific permissions, as indicated in the (post-flood) Job Book of Job in which satan had to request The Lord’s permission to attack Job. There is no record that devils referred to in Genesis 6:4 sought The Lord’s permission for their dastardly deed. 6 The platitudes pronounced upon Noah were not extended to his wife, sons and daughters-in-law. His wife and daughters-in-law were outside of his blood line. They were likely spared to facilitate reproduction of the human race across Earth, leading to folks like you and me today! This trend is being repeated across the six transitions between the Bible’s seven ages of humanity, as explained in the above-noted Part 5 of the Anti-Christ series.
7 In Deuteronomy 2:20 and Genesis 14:5, Moses cited several communities of giants in the Promised Land, including the Anakim, Emim, Zamzummim, Avim, Caphtorim and Rephaim. Genesis 15:16 records The Lord’s promise to Abraham that his descendants would migrate out of the land, but would return to possess it ~4 centuries later. The reason for their long absence is also indicated in the last half of this verse. Across several generations, Israel’s armies contended with these and other communities in the Promised Land, not all of whom were giants.
