Why are there so many preachers preaching,
‘When Christ returns, world
peace He’ll be bringing?’
I ask myself, ‘What Bible are they reading?!’,
‘Cause this is not exactly what I’m seeing!
They speak of His return as a single advent,
One that will usher in the ‘forever event’.
I really do find myself flipping,
At the many things they are skipping!
Since we’re all accustomed to short tweets
and e-mails,
Might preachers think Church folk can’t
handle the details?
Why relegate things pedagogical,
To experts on things eschatological?
While heavenly peace is the end of the
Christian story,
What’ll happen when Christ returns won’t be
all peace ‘n glory!
His time on Earth will be sandwiched
between,
Two horrible wars, so where’s the serene?! 1
Study of history will reveal,
To the victor go all the spoils, until...
The typical ‘post-war oppression effect’,
Ultimately prompts the vanquished... to resurrect!
The first post-war ‘peace’ that Jesus will
achieve,
Will be via an ‘iron rod’ that He will
unsheathe.
He’ll rule over survivors of the war, who at
first will grieve,
But centuries on... retaliation like you can’t believe!
Christ’s rule will be entirely global,
Via His Church, redeemed and immortal.
Over vanquished mortals we will rule.
So imagine tensions that could fuel!
So here’s a pertinent question, one you
might deplore:
Is ‘iron rod peace’ really peace... or seeds to an uproar?
If you find this dampening your ‘Jesus ardor’,
Perhaps a Bible review may be in order.
With His first coming, came the death of so many--
Babes under two, disciples, and Church folk plenty!
With His second coming, don’t think things will be different,
It will be far worse! About
this The Bible is so blunt.
He said He came to bring a sword on earth, not
peace, 2
And when He returns, a bigger sword He’ll
release! 3
If this may disturb your religious
composure,
Read The Book. Prepare for the coming adventure.
Consider this
little known (hinted) Bible advice.
Before Earth becomes an eternal peace paradise,
To Earth Jesus Christ may come not twice,
but thrice.
Will He leave Earth again to allow... ‘time for vice’? 4
If so...
Upon his third coming, there’ll be yet another war. 5
This one will end all wars,
and will be very bizarre!
The vanquished shall never again rebel or
increase.
But why must there be such a bloody route to
world peace??
Here’s why....
The peace Jesus comes to bring is between
God and man.
But things of God, hateful God-rejecters just
can’t stand!
Rebellious from the start we all have been,
And rebellious we’ll be to the very end!
But for us who accept His gracious offer of
peace,
Among the victors, not the vanquished, we all
will be!
Here’s a reminder as I conclude my peace

3 Revelation 9:18 reveals, by just 3 of the several tribulation plagues, a third of humanity will be
killed in the run-up to the Armageddon War. Add to this the
people who will be killed by other tribulation plagues, and those who will be killed as a result of The Lord's nuclear-type blow on soldiers in the Armageddon War, as noted in
Zechariah 14:12 and Revelation 19:15. And add to that folks who will be killed after the Armageddon War, when Jesus, as promised in Zechariah 12:9, seeks to destroy all the nations that will have attacked Israel, likely those mentioned in Ezekiel 38, the 1st War of Gog and Magog.
4 2 Corinthians 4:4 reveals satan is the god
of this present age. Revelation 20:3 reveals he will be temporarily locked
up/put away during Christ’s Millennial Reign, during which Jesus will be God in
the world. This will avoid having concurrent ‘Earth gods’ during Christ’s
reign. This prompts the question, ‘Where will Christ and His Church be during
the short time satanic forces are
once again unleashed on Earth following Christ’s Millennial Reign??’
(Revelation 20:3) Also, how long might this short time be, particularly since similar
wording is used in Revelation 12:12, referring to when satan and his crew
of demons were initially cast down to Earth, thousands of years ago.
