And It Came to Pass? (Poem)

I recall western movie places where tensions escalate,

The pass, a choke point with increased risks,

and chances to escape.

Good guys chasing the bad, who had stolen all the gold.

‘Cut ‘em off at the pass!’, and adventure would unfold.

For the word, ‘pass’, there are 85 definitions!

One’s a narrow passage through an obstructed region.

God must love this word, especially ‘coming to pass’.

It’s found often in The Bible; I would say en masse.

A carnal reading would simply pass over this phrase.

‘So it happened. What’s the big deal? What’s there to amaze?’

But what if there’s a deeper meaning from this deeper Book,

One only seen when re-born eyes, minds and hearts take a look?

‘Really, J! ??’ Yep. Consider God’s modus operandi.

It’s ‘seed, time and then harvest’.

Everything follows these three.

He’s Spirit, as are His Words, which are seed --

Instructions to forces we cannot see.

They manage the development process that goes,

From seeds-to-physical fulfillment, as it flows.

Step-by-obedient-step, each frame they unreel,

With clear Word pictures of that which God says,

‘Reveal!’

He gives them time to do all of His bidding,

To put precursors in their proper fitting.

Only after each precursor has been processed,

Is the final result ready to manifest.

When ready, angels bring their works ‘to the pass’,

That links our two different worlds that contrast.

Into our world, God ‘births’ these works,

to angels’ applause!

From ‘it came to [the] pass’, it’s now,

‘And so it was.’

God’s Words and angels’ works always come to a juncture,

A narrow pass through which, by faith, they all must puncture.

Think of it as a birth canal, or just call it ‘The Way’.

This is why we need much faith and patience...

after we pray!

Spirit ‘seeds’ or spawns every thing or event.

This seed or germ is the words that are unpent. *

They take on flesh, and create your world,

Like a grain of sand... takes on a pearl.

By the way, here’s a point you should consider.

This may well be the pass through which you’ll enter,

When to you God sends His ‘breath collector’,
On your last birthday into forever...
