Eyes on the Nations (Poem, Part 2)

‘Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, 

you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.

So you also, when you see these things happening,

know that the kingdom of God is near.’ 

(Luke 21:29-31)

 

Our pollution has made Earth’s air and waters acidic.

Droughts make soils acidic, and floods make them alkalic.

This has driven every living species on Earth… to the brink!

Because of our sin load, all of Earth’s systems are… out of sync.

She’s alive and sentient. To her, sin is toxic! ¹

Seeing these, isn’t it time to focus on …things prophetic??

 

Part 1 summarizes the five broad nations groups,

On which, in these un-precedented times, The Lord’s ‘eye is peeled’.

Throughout Scripture, He gives a clear clue,

Of a short-cut we should keep in view.

It is a microcosm that in history is revealed,

To help segregate us who’re wise …from nincompoops!

 

Clearly, the nation of Israel is that microcosm.

In His strategic plan for humanity, it is the seed,

Planted in the rich faith of Father Abraham.

It bore the fruits of His …salvation diagram,

Foretold in the history of ancient Israel, indeed.

Behold, her harlotry is now …a global macrocosm! ²

 

On what in our day should we keep our ‘spiritual eyes’ peeled??

Narrowly, it includes His promise of a third temple,

To be built in Jerusalem where a mosque now stands.

To all, it appears this ‘Gordian knot’ blocks His plans,

As upon it, we gaze through eyes that are …merely carnal,

Blinded by our disbelief in Him and the power He wields.

 

Broadly it’s on this nation’s ...trifecta of ‘walls defensive’,

That I suspect we should peel both sets of our eyes, ³

‘Walls’ that The Lord states, one day, Israel will be without.

That’s now something impossible to imagine, no doubt! ⁴

Let’s review how high her defensive walls now rise.

As a foundation to understand The Lord’s word predictive.

 

Nations defensive trifecta, like a three-legged stool,

Are their government, military and alliances.

Upon these they lean, when by difficulties they are stressed.

With each, Israel is currently very richly blessed!!!

So there’s no need to reinforce her …God allegiances.

Aahaaa! This echoes lessons she failed in her …ancient school!

 

Whenever we fail lessons The Lord for us designed,

In Grace, He will orchestrate another chance to pass them.

But when Grace fails because in failing we are intentional,

His strategy changes, with judgments that are incremental,

Until voila, deeply ‘in a fix’ we’re… totally hemmed.

Behold… a promised day in the promised land, consigned!

 

Israel represents the fig tree, spiritual,

Into which The Lord’s Church worldwide has been grafted. ⁵

This is why with Israel, it has strong affinity.

From The Lord, they both have Grace and accountability.

Since like Israel, now the whole world has acted,

Get ready for The Lord’s tough times …pedagogical! ⁶

 

It’s your choice on which to keep your eyes peeled:

On the five nation groups, or on Israel.

Let’s work to keep fully alert and aware,

Of The Lord’s ‘pre-Millennial Reign’ affairs.

They will presage His glorious arrival,

When to Him, the world’s governments will yield.

Isaiah 24 represents a succinct one-chapter summary,

Of the key pre-Millennial things we can expect,

Results of Earth staggering under unbearable sin load,

And her life-sustaining systems on which we depend corrode.

As you read it, into our time you'll need to project.

It was written some 3,000 years ago, prophetically.

¹ Both physically and spiritually toxic

² This refers to Israel’s spiritual harlotry (idol worship) of forsaking her God and Jesus, His declared Son, Who, in Genesis 3:15, was promised to come as ‘Seed of the woman’ (signifying His virgin birth), to bruise (not yet to destroy) satan’s kingdom on Earth. Now the whole world, including elements of The Church, have followed suit in committing spiritual harlotry against all of Heaven. This multi-millennial story is why The Lord has richly preserved the rich history of Israel more than any other people group or nation on Earth!

…Every day brings us closer to Earth’s new chapter,

When all the world will know The Lord’s iron rod scepter.

(Album 9: One Day Closer!)

 

From just about every perspective we can imagine,

We’re living in a time that is un-precedented!

While in Earth’s long history, a global flood has been written,

By floods and droughts, it may have never been… globally smitten!

Search and see if such has ever been documented.

In times like these, folks are …spiritually awakened.

 

From just about every perspective I can imagine,

I have written about nations groups highlighted in our time,

Across the ages and pages of The Holy Bible.

By what I have written, no doubt, many minds are baffled!

Here, I’ll try to simplify and summarize it in this rhyme,

To sharpen your perspective of what’s on Earth’s horizon.

 

1st nations group focus...

The Lord, in a ruthless, ancient king of Babylon,

Activated, then in history, animated a dream.

It predicted the succession of hegemon empires,

Concluding with nations after Rome would have expired.

Many nations today are on …the ‘post-Roman Empire team!’

In the days of this ‘team’, He said His Kingdom would dawn.¹

 

2nd nations group focus...

The Lord has signaled His eye is on all nations,

From which He will have drawn His group of post-cross saints,

Dead and alive, who will have embraced Jesus Christ,

Who, by His death, paid our unpayable sin price,

We who live(d) life under His ‘righteousness restraints’,

Having learned to respond to His Spirit’s unctions. ²

 

3rd nations group focus...

He’s determined to pour on all nations angry indignation,

And to devour the Earth with the fire of His jealousy.

This will occur after from Earth, His saints are extracted.

During this time, Jews in three nations will be protected,

But not for long! Their protection will be temporary,

Thus serving as a major set-up for a massive invasion. ³

 

4th nations group focus...

The Lord’s focus will be sharply concentrated,

On the nation(s) ‘in the far north’, presumably of Israel.

Check any map (in your day) to learn which it (or they) will be.

His anger will be against Gog, the chief demon folks can’t see,

Who will trigger the invasion by an …alliance quintuple.

In the end, these armies will be …decimated! ⁴

 

5th nations group focus...

Before their decimation, these armies just might play a role,

In fulfilling The Lord’s promise to Jews He knows are righteous,

The promise He made so long ago in Zephaniah 3:11,

To remove from their midst, Jews who by pride are darkened!

He’ll leave only meek, humble, trusting Jews who are virtuous.

Thus this age will end, and His Millennial Reign will unfold. ⁵

 

If focusing on five nations groups might be too much,

It will help you to avoid the scuttlebutt,

Falsehoods about how the world will or won’t end, and such.

¹ See: Daniel 2, and also In the Days of These Kings (Series). Consider the nations that have adopted various aspects (legal, political, cultural, etc.) of the Roman Empire. Various nation remnants of Rome have existed ever since that empire fell nearly 1,500 years ago.

² See: Revelation 5:9, a future vision of this massive group drawn ‘out of every tribe, tongue, people and nation.’  This great remnant of humanity, unfortunately, will only represent a tiny percentage of all humans who will have ever lived. In His GRACE amazing, I believe this group will likely include every person whose life was aborted, and some children who died before they reached The Lord’s child-specific ‘age of accountability’, irrespective of their parents …religious affiliation or none. ³ This stanza notes the dual set of mystical protections The Lord promises to His ‘two peoples’ groups: saints protected in the rapture (comprising mostly post-cross Gentiles, and some Jews), and any remaining Jews who will hastily flee to Israel where they will be protected during the great tribulation. ⁵ These Jews will be representative of a long list of nations from which they will have hastily immigrated. Recall, pride is the first, the mother and the taproot of all sin. It is what motivated Lucifer (who became satan) to attempt a coup d’etat in Heaven. In Ezekiel 28:13-15, The Lord refers to Lucifer, a top-ranked angel with musical abilities, in the midst of spiritually upbraiding a wicked King of Tyre. In Isaiah 14:12-17, in the midst of a predicted future, proverbial upbraiding the king of Babylon, the proverb addresses Lucifer, who became satan, and who apparently was the king’s motivating spirit. Some Bible scholars flatly deny this, while others question at which verse the proverb, inspired by The Lord, returns to addressing the king of Babylon. Read it and form your own opinion in context of the entire Bible, including what happened in Genesis 6:1-3, Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4, and their relationship to the global flood.
