Heart Expressions (Poem)

Through the gateways of our natural ears and eyes,

There seeks to transit, palpable truths and lies.

Some we’ll adore, others abhor,

And most we will simply ignore.

Just like magnets of opposite poles,

Some will attach to parts of our soul. ¹

Those that attach tightly to our imagination,

Will in our heart find abundant fertilization.

Truths and lies that are palpable,

Act like seeds agricultural.

Once lodged in our imagination, fruitful,

They’ll germinate, and send downward roots, needful.

These roots seek nourishment that is only found,

In the human heart where life’s essence abounds.

Once in the heart, these roots slowly spread out.

Since roots are smart, for nourishment they will scout.

Hidden in the heart’s quiet recesses,

These roots feed and spread their influences.

In time, the heart, in ways that are subtle and refined,

Will have quietly and substantially been redesigned.

The way our heart’s redesign folks will attest,

Will be by things from our heart that we express,

Those things that we tolerate, support or protest,

All based on palpable truths and lies we ingest.

Our heart, seat of motivating beliefs,

That form and shape our life’s changing motifs.

From our beliefs, motives will spring forth,

Which in our words and actions are stored.

Because He knows beliefs shape the quality of our lives,

God warns us: Be careful what comes into your ears and eyes! ²

Yet many choose to believe lies and disparage truths,

And as they do, societal life quality dilutes.

The steady drip of lies we choose to believe,

Blinds our mind’s ability the truth to perceive.

With less truths perceived, and then imagined,

With more deceptions we are …impassioned.

With deceptions, lives inflamed,

Lies as truths are then renamed!

Since with every truth The Spirit of Truth is allied,

It stands to reason there must be a spirit of lies. 

Through the gateways of our natural ears and eyes,

There seeks to transit, palpable truths and lies.

Some we will adore, and others we will ignore.

Can you recognize each that comes through your mind’s doors?

The Goshen Effect (Poem, Part 2)

Puzzle pieces in The Bible are portrayed,

Of things that are to come, yet are now delayed.

When to The Lord’s pieces we perceive a pattern,

Imagine His Spirit standing behind the lectern.

The Goshen effect, introduced to Pharaoh,

When he refused to let The Lord’s people go.

While Egypt was gravely punished into submission,

The slaves were sheltered from seven of ten afflictions.

Why to the first three afflictions were the slaves exposed?

Was this an oversight, as some folks may have supposed?

Nope~

They weren’t in Goshen, but across all Egypt were scattered,

To find straw for their bricks quotas that to Pharaoh mattered! ¹

With this effect tested and shown to work just fine,

When will it be used next in The Lord’s great design?

There are five more occasions that He has promised,

To protect His own, as others He will punish.

He will protect two groups of His ‘kinsmen, one redeemed’, 

Before judging all folks among whom He's not esteemed. ²

But between these two groups, how will He ‘make a difference’,

Since it’s Earth, not Goshen, that is both groups’ residence?!

Before His plagues rain down on folks who are rebellious,

His Church will depart in haste in a style …rapturous.

Just like by the fourth plague, the slaves were all back home,

Far away from Earth, the Church will be quickly gone!

Great, but His kinsmen redeemed are not only His saints,

Who’ll be protected while plagues rain down on ...the ain’ts.

Jews all across the world are also included,

Descendants of Hebrews from Egypt, extruded. ³ 

As God’s plagues upon the world begin to fall,

And folks selfishly search for others to blame,

They won’t blame The Lord God Whom they all will have refused.

Like folks after World War 1, they’ll likely …blame the Jews!

Here’s why…

Since satan hates The Lord, but can’t strike back at Him,

He strikes The Lord’s chosen, The Church, His ‘synonym’. 

But with The Church then way out of sight, the Jews will fit the bill.

As in history’s darkest nights, race hatred may overspill. ⁴

‘Come into your chambers and shut your doors, My people.

Hide yourself from blamers, and indignation dreadful.’ ⁵

Tell me, to you does this sound like …the Goshen effect?

When judgment plagues on the world spike, His own He'll protect!

By this invitation, The Lord’s promise will be fulfilled:

Mass Jewish immigration, the promise land overfilled.

Fleeing racism’s sting, they won’t see this behind the scene:

Jesus will be gathering, those over whom He’ll be KING! ⁶

Thus…

The Goshen effect - six promised, one implemented. ⁷

The next is the rapture; the Church, no longer fragmented.

To you God extends His invitation to protect,

To be a part of His pending …Church Goshen effect.

⁶ Before the coming tribulation,The Bible iteratively predicts massive, even hasty, Jewish immigration to Israel in the last days, even spilling over into Lebanon and northern Jordan. But once protected, The Lord promises to sift this huge crowd, removing those who are proud and haughty', leaving only those who will embrace Him as Messiah. (Zephaniah 3:11-13). Might this be one of several reasons for the 1st War of Gog and Magog?? Recall how, after the exodus from Egypt, The Lord sifted out of the crowd unrighteous, rebellious Jews.

During the Millennial Reign, massive immigration to Israel shall continue as Jews worldwide finally see and embrace Jesus as their Messiah. See: Zechariah 10:10, Isaiah 49:22, Isaiah 60, 66:20 and Zechariah 14.

Faith Author, Finisher and You (Poem, Part 2)

Author and finisher of our faith, that’s Jesus. ¹

Authors establish a perspective view.

Finishers complete with a brilliant hue.

This leaves a gap in the middle that’s left for us.

God so loved the world, that He gave us His Son.

The Son, in turn, gave His love sequential:

That is His ‘seed, time and harvest principle’.

He loves seeds so much, He even became one! ²

To meet our needs, He applies this principle.

He expects us to discern, plant and cultivate,

His seeds, in faith that does not fluctuate,

So He can finish with harvests plentiful.

So what are His seeds, so we can discern them?

He starts with Word promises on all aspects of life,

Backed up by The Holy Spirit to shine on them LIGHT.

We’ll miss these seeds if we don’t treat them as gems! ³

His book, The Bible, is literally chock full,

Of promises He expects us to believe,

So that, as we trust in Him, we can receive,

And thereby remain thankful, and in Him, joyful. ⁴

Ahhh, but many other kinds of seeds He will provide,

Seeds of relationships, right timings and things tangible,

Carefully provided at the right moments teachable,

All because with God, through faith in Christ, we are allied. ⁵

Once discerned, it is our job, not His, to plant His seeds.

But if in impatience we go and ‘fly off the handle’,

We may quickly end up in situations hurtful.

Before planting, consult Him, then follow as He leads.

While it’s easy to take seed-planting steps of faith.

The real work is ensuring our seed stays protected.

So to our seed, make sure our faith remains connected,

As for The Lord’s harvest we do patiently wait.

Like farmers, in great patience, we then must cultivate,

Tending aspects of our seed’s growth that are unique,

As we ponder plausible harvesting techniques.

That’s when more about Himself The Lord will inculcate. 

But from all the above, what good can come to us,

If we fail to perceive, and then gather-in the harvest?

Pardon me. About this, allow me to speak THE LOUDEST!!!

On this point, devils will push to make us anxious.

While God promises harvests to us who are faith-full,

He never did promise to gather it in.

So pray for faith to know when harvest begins,

And as you gather, give Him praise and remain thankful.

In this we see faith must not stay like a mustard seed.

It must be planted to activate God’s need-meeting system.

Faith is not a monolith. Rather it’s a spectrum:

There’s faith for A, B, C, and beyond X, Y and Z. ⁶

Just as our body has muscles for different functions,

So must our spirit develop faith of differing kinds.

This is what I see when reading between The Bible’s lines. ⁷

With this, may you perceive and follow The Spirit’s unctions.

There are historical as well as futuristic promises, each designed and presented in ways to build our faith in Him Who promises. Careful study reveals they also literally cover every aspect of life, from birth-to-eternity. Do you know any other book that comes remotely close to that?!

⁵ Consider the untold number of different seeds with which God populated Earth! Let this thought convince you of His unlimited ability to fashion and deliver to you any kind of seed required to accomplish His good works in and through you. 

⁶ Just like God’s wide-ranging promises, the faith spectrum covers every aspect of life, from birth-to-eternity. How is your faith, not only for salvation, but also for supply, healing, witnessing, spiritual growth, giving, receiving, forgiving, sleep, work, family, friends, etc., etc., etc. Get the point? Faith is not a monolith, like many may believe; something so tiny that remains like a seed. Hum-bug! A lie from the pit.

⁷ TIP: As you read through The Bible, practice identifying the kinds of faith the actors are or apparently are not, but should be exercising. This will enhance your ability to gage your own faith in those areas.

Come! Let’s take a short trip to a future Day on Earth,

when Jesus Christ will have returned with the full entourage

of His angels and saints from across the ages,

to take charge of all governments.

My, my, what a Day that will be!

Lord I’m glad, You are finally here

All Your saints on Earth with You (Zechariah 14:5)

Reigning with You for one thousand years 

  (Zechariah 14:5, 2, 1 Thessalonians 3:13, Thessalonians 1:10, and Jude 1:14.)

All Your enemies are now subdued (1 Corinthians 15:25)

Over the world Your glory light appears (Numbers 14:21, Isaiah 6:3, 11:9, Habakkuk 2:14)

Tribulation’s over, Earth is renewed

Armageddon is over, Your victory is won (Zechariah 14)

All of the world now knows You are God’s Son (Isaiah 60)

Locked away, there’re no devils to shun (Revelation 20:3,7)

Kids play with lions who now eat hay (Isaiah 11:7)

Wolves don’t see lambs as prey (Isaiah 65:25)

To Genesis diets folks returned (Genesis 1:30, 9:3, Isaiah 65:20)

Thanks to this, long life they’ve earned

In all cities, it’s Your saints who now govern (Luke 19:17)

Kings serving You, we’re now called 

It‘s Your righteousness that all people now learn (Isaiah 26:9)

With Your power, they are enthralled

And with wars, there are now no concerns (Isaiah 2:4, Micah 4:3)

To attend Your feast, families are called (Zechariah 14: 16-19)

Your people are with You in the promise lands

They know You’re Messiah, and follow Your commands 

All the trees of the field clap their hands  (Isaiah 55:12)

Earth refreshed and the air is pure

Restored to her Genesis grandeur

From You healing waters flow (Zechariah 14:19)

Righteousness restored 

Finally, Your promises realized

In this dawn of Your Day 

Finally, You as The Lord recognized (Isaiah 60)

Awesome glory in full display (Numbers 14:21)

Finally, righteousness scrutinized (Isaiah 11:4-5, 16:5, 26:9)

Your iron rod rules the day (Psalm2:9, Revelation 2:27, 12:5, 18:15)

For The Lord God Omnipotent reigns

King of Kings and Lord of Lords (1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 17 :14, 19:16)

Lots of folks think Heav’n ‘n hell are just some fantasy

Just a fantasy…

If only they believed that they’re both a reality

That just might spare them a future agony

Future agony…

But they refuse to receive and believe what their eyes cannot see

There’s something they can’t forego

Jesus said is so

This I’ll tell them, so they will know

He said, ‘You must be born again’

To enter God’s Heaven, you’ve gotta be born again

The cares of this ole world, all around them do swirl

It’s money they pursue, and riches they accrue

With no childlike faith, Christ they won’t embrace

So they refuse to bow, and their way He’ll allow

Everybody talkin’ ‘bout Heaven ain’t going there

It’s because in their thinking, they’ve fallen into a snare

They’ve gotta know Heaven and hell ain’t just some fantasy
