A Failure to Imagine (Part 2)

My reference to ‘majoring on the minors’ in Part 1 in no way intends to minimize the critical importance of evangelization. Rather, it is a call to imagine the transitions or stages within the ages of human history, and to strategically adjust and adapt our efforts accordingly. History proves global evangelization may well have been Heaven’s key strategic rationale for allowing the U.S. to rise to global power so rapidly and completely! But that task was only achieved well into this current 3rd age of human history, in the decades after the U.K. had 'passed the global hegemon baton' to the U.S. For more on this, see: Like Parent, Like Child (Series).

What might this suggest about how each age of human history might unfold? And what happens if we fail to imagine how those ages unfold?

Ponder this: The Bible indicates each age unfolds in three broad stages: 

1. A relatively short beginning stage, 

2. A very broad middle stage, and

3. A short, relatively intense, final stage, culminating in some kind of global judgment.

 

Unpacking those indications reveals each age begins with a relatively small human population:

 

1. Adam and Eve began the 1st age;  

2. Noah and his family began the 2nd age;

3. A small number of new Christian believers began the 3rd age (apart from the horde of people who knew little or nothing about the MAJOR page Heaven had just turned in the ages of human history with Christ’s death and resurrection, and the offer of its GREATEST gift to humanity, namely salvation from eternal damnation by faithfully embracing His sacrificial death as payment for our personal sins. See: Salvation, An Internship) and Prayer of Salvation (Poem).

4. A relatively small population—post-3rd age resurrection/rapture event—will begin the 4th age;

5. A very small apocalypse remnant will begin the 5th age (See: Isaiah 13:11-13); and

6. Possibly a few, un-tested, post-Millennial Reign believers will begin the 6th age (along with the horde of long-living people who will likely have come to reject everything about their forced-righteous lifestyles during The Millennial Reign age; See: Age-ending Stock-taking (Series)).

 

Consider this: The Bible also hints the middle stage of each age unveils a core group of righteous-minded people who effectively grow and sustain Godly faith on Earth. 

 

Unpacking those hints across the 6 predicted ages of our history on this current version of Earth, I intuit these were/are/will be those groups:

 

1. In the 1st age, possibly Seth, Adam and Eve's third son, and the influences of his offspring that culminated with Noah;

2. In the 2nd age, Godly Jewish prophets, priests and kings;

3. In the 3rd age, the worldwide Church;

4. In the 4th age, the first multitude Apostle John saw in Revelation 7:9-17—believers who will be martyred via beheading during the global rule of the anti-Christ’s regime;

5. In the 5th age, possibly the potentially large group of un-tested believers who will come to salvation faith in Jesus as The Lord God because they will see and get to know Him, physically; but whose faith will need to be tested and proven during the short 6th age, when the full kingdom of satan MUST be released back on Earth to deceive and tempt all humanity. (Revelation 20:1-10); and

6. In the 6th age, possibly the group of saints briefly mentioned in Revelation 20:9, along with any other people across the Earth who, during that 'little while' age, will come to salvation faith in Jesus as The Lord God.

 

Finally, ponder this: The Bible emphatically reveals the final stage of each age effectively mirrors the despicable quality of life that Genesis 6 affirms about the 1st age—the downright wickedness of humanity, deserving Heaven’s worst possible global judgments,

 

Unpacking those revelations, I intuited these were/are/will be those global judgments:

 

1. The global flood at the close of the 1st age (Genesis 6:5-21);

2. The crucifixion of Jesus at the close of the 2nd age—Heaven’s sacrificial, personally imputable judgment of every human sin that will have ever been committed against its righteous standards—past, present and future;

3. Possibly the devastating global, cosmic impacts of The Lord opening the 6th seal on His scroll at the close of the 3rd age (The 6th Seal, Civilization's Reset? (Series));

4. The apocalypse at the close of the 4th age. (Revelation 8, 9, 11:15-19);

5. At the close of the 5th age, the release of satan’s kingdom back on the Earth (Revelation 20:7); and

6. At the close of the 6th age, the promised, total destruction of this current version of Earth and the entire, sin-stained universe. (Revelation 20:11; 2 Peter 3:10-12).

In light of the above, do you think the people whom Heaven regards as righteous in each stage, would ‘perceive a major spiritual shift’ in their world, and thus adjust their strategies for sustaining righteousness on the Earth, with various degrees of success …or none?

 

In Part 3, let’s explore some strategic options for us 3rd stage, 3rd age believers to consider in response to the dramatically palpable spiritual shift across the world since the start of the so-called modern era—post World War 2.
