Land Math

The following table summarizes the ‘yo-yo’ relationship Jacob’s descendants had with the sliver of the massive covenant land they and their ancestors had conquered from antiquity-to-today. 

Jacob’s descendants were only allowed to enjoy living in the land about 20 percent of the time from when Jacob was renamed Israel, to this current year, 2026. They spent about 80 percent of those 5,000+ years in various exiles, AWAY from the land because of their gross sinfulness—rejecting The Lord’s covenant lifestyles requirement. This 80/20 ratio reveals being 'in' the land was historically a rare privilege, presumably reserved for times of testing for new generations. It might also signify the severity of The Lord’s angst over their lifestyle choices.

Examining the 'pivotal downturns' (in Part 2) that occurred since 1948, and others that might occur between now and The Millennial Reign age, it’s worth pondering these questions:

 

What might the above ‘land math’, covering the previous 5,000 years,

suggest about The Lord’s patience in dealing with 

the modern generations of Jacob’s seed?

 

Consider this: During their absences, He was incredibly patient with people who were strangers to His covenant requirements, allowing them to enjoy the portion of the land Jacob’s descendants had captured and occupied! And very curiously, He counted that time as allowing the land to ‘enjoy her sabbaths’! That means the land rested from the exceptionally heavy spiritual weight of covenant-breaking people, while it was occupied by non-covenant strangers! This clearly indicates The Lord extended much more Grace, Mercy and Patience to those strangers, than He did to His people!!! 

Yet to this perspective, Jacob’s descendants in Israel and across the world, are apparently blind and oblivious. I wonder what might that infer in light of the many upheavals between those strangers, and His people, anxious to occupy more of that land. Selah…

In general, Jacob’s seed across the world remain a people out-of-covenant. Yet those in Israel are allowed to enjoy the land, oblivious to the dots that connect it to The Lord’s covenants. The Lord is honoring HIS Word to and concerning them, as a testimony of His Grace during their time of testing, pending the day when The final version of that greatly expanded land will be given to a relatively small number of Jacob’s seed who, per Zechariah 13:8-9, will be revealed:

 

o   After the end of the apocalypse, and Armageddon, and 

o   Just before the start of The Lord’s Millennial Reign.

 

How might recognizing that future day,

Influence their lifestyles TODAY?

Insights shared in this series have helped me to perceive and understand global developments since May 1948 in a fresh light, from a non-religious, strategic perspective. Traditional, religious perspectives paint an ‘all things spiritually rosy’ picture over the past 78 years—one that effectively omits or re-colors what Biblical historical patterns and prophecies actually reveal and predict.

 

Let’s recall what The Lord declared in Isaiah 55:8-9, about His ways compared to ours, and what Paul subsequently declared in 1 Corinthians 2:16, about The Mind of Christ gift to us. My prayer is for more of us to develop that Mind within us; and for The Holy Spirit to open our generally ‘wide shut spiritual eyes’, so we can better perceive and align with His unfolding strategy. 

 

His plans confirm May 1948 should not be read as proof that modern Israel is spiritually secure. Rather, it is proof that He re-activated His ancient pattern of land-based testing, before His promised, regathering of an acceptable, penultimate remnant of Jacob’s seed at the start of His Millennial Reign. Penultimate because only the persistently faithful among the Millennial Reign age seed, will eternally fulfill His promise in Exodus 19:6, in the massive, eternal Jerusalem, on His promised, massive, new, eternal Earth.
