As noted in Part 2, it stands to reason that, in making the land-grant to Abraham and his descendants, The Lord foreknew, and thus considered:
1. All the pending occupants and functional uses of that land from the moment of His promise, until the end of the post-Millennial Reign age—the 6th and final age of our history on this current version of Earth—i.e., from Genesis 15:18-to- Revelation 20:7-9; and
2. His plans to substantially reshape that land during His planned, TOTAL RENOVATION of Earth from how we currently know it.
Let’s review the most strategically relevant aspects of the above points—what The Lord foreknew and likely considered when He made the land-grant to Abraham and his descendants.
A. A Massive, MIXED Population
The Lord foreknew the land grant to Abram and his descendants through Jacob, would one day be concurrently populated by both immortal and mortal Jews! Shocking? Not to us who perceive His multi-millennial plan for humanity, and especially for Jacob’s descendants. His plan is fully broadcasted across the pages and ages of The Bible. At the end of the apocalypse, His predicted 3rd (not second!) return to Earth:
1. The Lord will be accompanied by all of His holy angels (whether visible or invisible, we don’t know), and all of His saints, comprising:
• His resurrected, fully-tripartite (spirit, soul, body), and GLOWING immortal
saints from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ages of our history; and
• The dis-embodied, twin spirits and souls of all deceased 4th age saints so they
can reunite with their resurrected bodies, made GLOWING immortals.
2. He will initiate the final stage of His iteratively-promised re-gathering of all Jewish survivors of the apocalypse—the 5th and final hasty Jewish migration—to a greatly-expanded Israel. The objectives of this massive regathering will be:
• To reveal Himself to them as Jesus, their Messiah, Whom their ancestors urged the Roman Empire to crucify; 1 then
• To purge that massive group down to only one-third who will be counted worthy to enter into the greatly expanded Israel, and and repopulate Jews during His thousand-year reign as King over all the Earth. 2
B. Functional Uses of the Land Grant
Ezekiel 40–48 outlines the principal functional uses of the land grant to Israel during the Millennial Reign age. These include, but may not be limited to:
1. A greatly expanded Jerusalem, with 12 gates (compared to the current 8 active gates), plus residential, agricultural, commercial, and municipal support areas;
2. The (to-be-constructed) fourth Jewish temple complex, The Lord’s throne, and perhaps His initial, Heaven-originated sanctuary/palace and related governmental structures;
3. A central holy district set apart for the priests, the Levites, the city, and the temple complex;
4. Twelve land parcels apportioned to the twelve tribes of Jacob; and
5. Two large land parcels on the western AND eastern sides of the central holy district, apportioned to the Prince’ (very likely the immortal David), and subordinate princes (possibly mortal Jewish administrators).
HERE’s A KEY POINT about the land grant that The Lord revealed to Jeremiah (who was born into a priestly lineage, but he ministered as a prophet in Jerusalem, Judah before and after Babylon’s invasion), that He did not reveal to Ezekiel (who was also born into a priestly lineage, but also ministered as a prophet based in Babylon after it had invaded Jerusalem, Judah). Here’s that key point:
‘I will set My Throne in Elam…’
Jeremiah 49:38 (context)
Ancient Elam became the SW edge of Iran! This reveals The Lord’s Millennial Kingdom might have two ‘throne seats’—one in Jerusalem, and one in current-day SW Iran! Several AIs agree this may fit the typical scenario of ancient kingdoms of setting thrones on both ends of a vast empire. As such, The Lord’s personal Throne may be established in the greatly-expanded and raised-up Jerusalem—on the far western flank of the millennial Israel; and David’s personal Throne may be established in the what was once Elam--on the far eastern flank of the millennial Israel.
C. What about the Euphrates River?
Today, rivers serve as catchments for snow and rain waters that drain down mountain ranges (drainage areas) of various heights and lengths. Thus, revers are akin to the ‘valleys between the peaks’. 3 As such, Bible scholars may envision the Euphrates in the Millennial Reign age, as they envision it today—a long river valley between various mountain peaks. They may tend to mistakenly apply current geography to a renovated Earth, and thus fail to make MAJOR STRATEGIC ADJUSTMENTS to what they envision.
Though the mighty Euphrates river has retained its greatness from Genesis 2-to-today, it will undoubtedly be GREATLY HUMBLED by the GREAT/GLOBAL earthquake predicted at the end of the apocalypse—the 7th bowl judgment. That quake will pretty much flatten every mountain and hill across the entire Earth, but will raise Jerusalem high! Failure to imagine all the Earth, except Jerusalem, as a plain, means misunderstanding what The Lord may have meant when He mentioned ‘Euphrates’ in Genesis 15:18. Of course He foreknew the massive quake He would trigger at the end of the apocalypse.
So the pertinent question is what might the Euphrates river become during the Millennial Reign age, without today’s high and lofty mountains feeding it? We know a large plain is not necessarily entirely level flat. We also know, in that age, a major river will flow from the elevated Jerusalem, across a very wide portion of Earth. But without today’s mountain ranges, rivers will likely become much broader—slowly flowing across exceptionally wide regions. We cannot discern the extent of their dislocations and depths. We just know they all will all be seriously impacted by that earthquake. And who knows whether the Euphrates and Tigris rivers ……might even merge?!
Conclusion
From the Genesis 14 note about far eastern armies invading Canaan, to The Lord's Genesis 15:18 promise of a greater Israel during His Millennial Reign, stretching as far as, or well beyond the Euphrates River, it is apparent that He has most of the Middle East on His Mind! It would be a profound irony if ancient Elam—today’s SW Iran—will be absorbed into His Kingdom! Echoes of Abram’s first recorded battle, reverberate today in Israel’s frequent military campaigns against Iran. Through The Lord’s blessings on Ishmael (Abram’s first son), Arabs, the ‘descendant half-brothers’ of Jews, have long enjoyed the lion’s share of the Genesis 15;18 land grant to Abram and His descendants.
It seems apparent that both these ‘SCRIPTS will suddenly FLIP’ when ALL of that land will be deeded to the one-third of Jacob's descendants (Jews) who will have survived the apocalypse, for their millennial heritage, and to repopulate the world with much more righteous, mortal Jews under the administration of The Lord’s and His immortal saints.
To the expanded area of that estimated land grant noted in Part 2 (current-day Israel, Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, all of Syria, most of Iraq, most of Jordan, northern Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, southeastern Turkey, western Iran (Zagros region feeding Mesopotamia), and northern Sinai), I confidently add southwestern Iran (ancient Elam), where The Lord promises to set one of His Millennial Thrones!
In today’s combative context between Iran and Israel, let’s keep in mind this portmanteau I received from The Lord. I believe it’s on His mind:
‘IsraRan’
----------
1 A faint, pre-echo of this event is how Joseph, when he was the #2 authority in all of ancient Egypt, revealed himself to his brothers who had sold him into slavery. See: Genesis 45.
2 See: Zephaniah 3:8-20 and Zechariah 12:10-14 and 13:8-9. The two-thirds who will be purged might be Jews who, during the apocalypse, will have received on their right hands or foreheads, the anti-Christ’s system brand, which in Revelation is called ‘the mark of the beast’.
3 In Valleys Between the Peaks (Poem), I correlate this geographical perspective with a prophetic perspective to demonstrate how ancient Israel and Judah seriously misunderstood The Lord’s prophecies about Himself as their Messiah. I intuit we, today, are similarly misunderstanding some of His yet-fulfilled prophecies—the result of our failure to perceive His prophetic peaks and valleys.
