Welcome~
Hello and Welcome~
The world is blind to these SEVEN, pivotal facts:
1. The Bible communicates Heaven’s 'Multi-millennial Strategic Plan for Humanity'.
2. There are SEVEN ages appointed for humanity.
3. We are nearing the end of the THIRD age, a pivotal turning point in this strategy.
4. A GREAT falling away from the Christian faith is predicted during the closing days of this THIRD age, as a result of backsliding, general lukewarmness and outright apostasy among the heretofore faithful. Look around and this you will clearly see. News reports from around the world ATTEST this SPIKED during the Covid pandemic, and continues to increase. Selah~
5. Biblical prophecies have been and remain seeds of human history. Over 80% of them have become HISTORICAL!!! The odds are against anyone who disbelieves the rest.
6. Yet-fulfilled prophecies, unfolding apace, are worthy of diligent study.
7. NoW is the time to get, and stay on ‘the right side of Bible prophecy’.

ReplyDeleteAnd holiness does not mean walking around speaking in tongues to everyone we meet. It all begins in the inside and works on the outside in our personally, attitude, and lifestyle.
It's funny how our images of 'holy' have been so twisted and contorted! We know well who's behind this. Holiness is quiet, not boisterous, as you suggest. Thanks for sharing your view.
DeleteHoliness, when I was child, was a scary word. I thought people in the gospel were perfect and did no wrong. As I became an adult, it means so much the opposite. You have said it best, being separated from past and present things that do not line up with being in the will of God. My prayer is that I stay in the will of God, and separate myself from unhealthy things. Blessings to you always.

Hi Bev.
DeleteI appreciate and closely relate to your experience as a child, and also as an adult. Though the subject poem mentions holiness does not necessarily mean regressing from people (we are to love people, yet hate unholy sin people commit, right?), please see my comment below on advice Paul gave to Timothy.
Thanks for reading, and for sharing your views.
Reading the lengthy "Unholy Hall of Fame" list in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, I am struck to realize just how close we are to the so-called unholy last days (the 7-year Tribulation period).
ReplyDeleteI read this list, first, to see how close or far away from it I, myself, may be, and then to ponder, "Who's left?", that is, who around me may NOT be on this incredible list?!
Alas, here is the prayer I gasp:
How long, oh Lord, will these last days last??
I pray they will much more quickly pass!!
-----
2 Timothy 3:1-5: But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times of great stress and trouble will come difficult days that will be hard to bear. For people will be lovers of self narcissistic, self-focused, lovers of money impelled by greed, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, and they will be unloving devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control intemperate, immoral, brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of sensual pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of outward godliness religion, although they have denied its power for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.
(Amplified Bible)
AMEN!!!! AAAAMEN!!!! I sure separate myself from such people! Some can't even understand me, and I don't even expect them to.
DeleteIt is very sad that these actions are becoming more alive, even in the churches. I have witnessed the very act of some of these. Sad, sad, sad.
Indeed, the Church is not only where these acts are occurring, but also the FIRST place The Lord will initiate His judgments against such acts. (Ezekiel 9:6 and 1 Peter 4:17)
