Since time immemorial, people have found a myriad of ways to explain away natural and cosmic events, and repetitive patterns across history as being ANYTHING BUT GOD-caused. In the modern age, we relied on the sciences to do this. The cumulative results have been a general decline of spirituality. This stands in stark contrast to what Apostle John ‘saw’ in his Revelation vision—how people reacted to the likely next series of global cosmic events predicted in The Book of Revelation. Though they are only predicted once, they seem to fit the Biblical age-transitioning pattern. 1
Here are peoples’ responses Apostle John ‘saw’ when, in his vision, The Lord God opened the 6th seal on His scroll:
‘And the kings of the Earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of The Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’ 2
The prediction is that, people the world over, both small and great, will somehow KNOW and ACKNOWLEDGE the SOURCE of the unfolding, global events! As the colloquial expression goes, ‘Ain’t that a flip?’ from what happens today?!
Reflecting on this, I wondered when might something similar have happened in history? My imagination kicked in and filled in the gaps…
1. After decades of Noah’s preaching and building a massive ark, people may have suddenly ‘connected-the-dots’ between what Noah had predicted, and the flooding they began to experience. In a flash, they likely BELIEVED….too late! A GREAT (likely global) earthquake broke up the fountains of the GREAT deep, releasing torrents of water, and possibly molten lava, that mixed with massive rains from above. Voila, the 1st age of our history thus closed, per. Genesis 7.
2. Three days after Jesus was crucified, a GREAT (likely global) earthquake opened the graves of all 1st and 2nd ages saints (likely across the world) who were resurrected with Him. 3 I imagine many people in that region may have ‘connected-the-dots’ of that quake, to what had happened 3 days earlier. Voila, the 2nd age of our history thus closed, per Matthew 27:51-53 and 28:1-4.
Since then, across the world, awareness of a predicted apocalypse has skyrocketed with the publication and distribution of The Bible. Though most of us today are not ‘spiritually inclined’ to believe Bible prophecies, it’s curious how the word, ‘APOCALYPTIC’, has found its way into everyday language. Yet, people who use that word may be clueless of what it really means. They associate that word with:
• Any catastrophic event, e.g., disasters such as natural calamities, wars, or pandemics that could disturb or lead to societal collapse;
• Any chaos and disorder, e.g., images of societal breakdown, where normal life is disrupted by extreme circumstances; and
• Any dramatic change, e.g., significant shifts in the way society functions, often implying a move from stability to instability.
Thus, we frequently exclaim 'apocalyptic', while explaining away The Author. I suspect when the 6th seal will be opened, the whole world might be screaming 'APOCALYPSE!', clueless that the impacts will be a mere PREVIEW of the real deal!
Have we become like Chicken Little,
(who cried, ‘The sky is falling!’),
yet we never ask
WHO might be shaking it? 4

2 Click here to see what people were reacting to in John’s vision. I intuit people across the world will think/say, ‘THIS IS THE APOCALYPSE!’, but it won’t be! The Bible indicates the apocalypse will last about 42 months, and will occur about 3.5 years AFTER the 6th seal will have been opened! Click here to learn what began to increase, and is still happening when The Lord opened the first 4 seals on His scroll. Bible scholars intuit that scroll may represent The Lord’s ancient title deed to Earth and creation.

4 Chicken Little is a term used to describe someone who warns of impending disaster, often without justification. The phrase originates from a folk tale where a young chicken believes the sky is falling after being hit on the head by an acorn. This character's panic leads to chaos as she tries to alert others.
