During the mid-BC years, The Lord gave us some incredible presents. Most were in the form of prophecies between:
(a) the time when Israel (the 10 northern Jewish tribes) was invaded by Assyria, and many captives were transported to Assyria, and
(b) the time when many captives from Judah (the 2 southern Jewish tribes) were in Babylon after its invasion of Judah.
Many of those prophecies have become historical facts, while others linger, awaiting ‘the fullness of their time’ to be fulfilled.
Yet there was a highly unique present that was, itself, not prophetic. That present was the revelation of the existence of a book in Heaven, called The Scripture of Truth. There is only one, brief mention of it in The Bible--during a conversation an angel had with the prophet, Daniel, a captive from Babylon’s invasion of Judah. The angel summarized a few, very detailed excerpts about distant future events ‘written in The Scripture of Truth’ book. Seemingly, this extremely unique book includes, not only ALL prophecies written in The Bible, but also the totality of human history!!!
So why might The Lord have allowed His angel to mention that book to Daniel? And why are there no other references to it in The Bible?? For sure, this is a perplexing present to humanity, one that has sparked LOTS of speculation and questions. It’s natural to presume that book is something utterly unknowable to us humans—a heavenly record so far beyond our comprehension, that it remains locked away, inaccessible -- outside of our grasp.
But what if such presumptions …are not true?!
Since He created humans, The Lord has demonstrated and articulated His deep, abiding desire for us, the apex of His physical creation …to KNOW HE IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!! A whopping 72 times, the phrase, ‘Know I am The Lord’ (or some variant of it), echoes across The Bible’s pages and ages! It is filled with thousands of unique, highly-specific prophetic seeds whose fruits prove only He, as The Lord God, can predict, and then ensure events He intends, become historical facts, in His manner and His timing. Yet most of us continue to discount Who He is, and many even deny His very existence! Honestly folks, that is the height of insult! Yet He has long-tolerated such abject insults from His highest creation beings… for now!
Though The Scripture of Truth book is only mentioned once in The Bible, uncloaking its existence suggests a different approach and tactic to achieving The Lord’s deep, abiding desire. How? The apparent, sheer level of ‘future soap opera-like, and conflict details’ therein, are a strong indication that this book literally ‘pre-scripts’ every unfolding detail of human history, since Adam! That far exceeds the ability to predict an individual event, and then enable it to become factual. I intuit The Scripture of Truth may well be:
The Lord’s ‘massive, multi-millennial, MACRO version’,
of His ‘unique, highly-specific, ‘micro’ predictions’,
releasing His Truths ‘at the speed of time’--
His one second, per second paradigm.
If my intuition is correct, then the contents of that book are not entirely in-accessible to us. Rather:
(a) History, itself, has revealed to us exactly what was written in that book, and
(b) Our so-called present, is The Lord’s moment-by-moment unfolding of ‘the rest of our story’ -- His pre-written history of humanity being revealed to us…
…at the speed of time.
