With so many ‘prophets’ of various kinds in our world,
Each attracting their varied believers and followers,
Why, then, when Scripture’s predictions unfurl,
Do people retreat, become skeptics and doubters?
No other forecast, no grandest decree,
Has matched The Bible in accuracy!
Economists warn us of markets that’ll crash.
Historians claim to foresee our decline.
Tech gurus predict the next greatest flash.
And trend-setters swear they can tell what’s ‘divine.’
Yet none of their visions, no matter how grand,
Hold Truth like The Word, time-tested and planned.
Is it the word, ‘prophet’, that pushes away?
Does ‘prophecy’ summon a weight people fear?
While ‘seers’ of finance, of science, hold sway,
To Biblical foretelling, they won’t draw near.
Is it the message, and weight of its call,
That makes folks reject what outshines them all?!
They rename their prophets to soften the blow—
‘Futurist’, ‘expert’, ‘consultant’ instead.
Draped in new titles, their claims freely flow,
While Biblical warnings are left …cold and dead.
Could it be language—a label misplaced—
That keeps God’s foretelling so wrongly erased??
What if we stripped the religious disguise,
And call His, ‘predictions’, like those used today?
Would minds be more open, less quick to despise,
If wrapped in some terms that folks won’t push away??
For Truth does not waver, no matter the name!
The Lord’s prophecies are untouched by our game.
