Is Jesus God? (Poem, Part 2)

Over two thousand years since His Holy Ghost conception,

About Jesus, there’s been an unending string of questions.  

Questions are great when by wisdom they have been ‘kissed’,

And when, in the pursuit of answers, we persist.  

Insightful answers to questions from hearts sincere,

Enhance sight on dark paths as wisdom’s light appears.   

With many questions Pharisees peppered Jesus in His day,

Answers He gave were only what The Father told Him to say. ¹

By His answers, Pharisees’ errant ways …were unwrapped,

Revealing their questions were merely religious traps!

But rather than perceiving Truths from Heaven that He unveiled,

They designed better traps, until on a cross Jesus was nailed.

Questions that seek to confirm errant thinking,

Only confirm that, at Truth, we …are winking. 

So let’s allow Heaven’s Truth to the questions above,

Be what we truly seek in The Spirit of God’s love.

In response to these questions, God has a lot to say,

On topics that, to many, may appear to be gray. 

How can Jesus Christ claim to be God, if God is ONE?

How can He be God, and at the same time, be God’s Son? 

On this topic there is so much confusion,

Plus devilish traps to increase contentions.

While there are several definitions of the word, ‘one’. 

Pleases tell me, when it comes to Jesus, why think of …just one?!

Why do we tend to think of ‘one’ in terms numerical?

Applied to spiritual matters, that’s superficial.

One may signify being in agreement or union,

Being of the same kind or quality composition,

Or a unified entity of two or more parts.

When God says He’s ONE, dare you limit His …linguistic art?? ²

Rather than questioning God in terms numerical,

Wisdom would first perceive Him in terms spiritual. 

Human efforts to comprehend Him with a number,

Are akin to the Pharisees’ colossal blunder:

They well understood ‘the letter of The Law’,

But were largely ignorant of its Spirit; a huge flaw!

Please take time to meditate, qualitatively,

How God and Jesus are ONE, demonstratively. 

Study their nature, as revealed in Bible stories,

Focusing on their three ‘Earth action categories’: 

Grace or loving kindness, which to all extended,

Then judgment that results in righteousness intended. ³

Friends, if/as you do this with a heart that is sincere,

The Holy Spirit will expand your …‘wisdom frontier’.

Through Bible precepts repeatedly demonstrated,

God’s Spirit answers questions from …hearts de-hydrated.

As you resist temptations from old ways of thinking,   

From The Spirit’s ‘rivers of water’ …you’ll be drinking!  ⁴
