I Imagine... (Poem)

When The Lord inspired Zechariah verse 12:3 to pen,

Jerusalem ‘a heavy stone’ with which nations must contend!

I imagine He had PM Netanyahu in mind.

Israel, against many terror attacks, to defend.

 

So like young David, should the PM be likened,

Using, not a sling and stone, but modern weapons?

Or, in ‘David scene’, has he ‘flipped roles’ in nearby nations,

And  become a ‘GIANT’ TERROR to defenseless millions? ¹

 

I imagine The Lord knew the PM would be ‘on the throne’,

And, in Lebanon, would push to establish a ‘buffer zone’!

I imagine the PM CAN’T IMAGINE, for Jews overseas,

That buffer zone might be the place where they may …become refugees! ²

 

Read Zechariah 10:10, re. what The Lord DETERMINES.

Then tell me if YOU can imagine what I imagine.

If only the PM could imagine what the prophet penned,

He might ‘see’ his buffer zone might become …what The Lord’s INTENDS!
