Hurt to Heal (Poem)

Ponder with me for a while all the areas in our world,

Where, in response to hurts that are deep and so very real,

We get some more hurt(s) to help the ‘presenting hurt’ to heal!

A world where healing doesn’t start with hurting would be quite a pearl!

On this point, I’m certain you would agree with me.

And to be clear, by hurts, I don’t mean just physically.

Hurts are in every facet of life, ubiquitously!

Who among us does not long from hurts to be free?? ¹

Hurts were not in The Lord’s original design for Earth,

Though He clearly foreknew by hurts, life here would be scarred.

Because of a deceptive lie, His design was marred,

And thus, no species down here can escape some kinds of …hurt! ²

In His Grace, Love and Wisdom, The Lord designed …hurt antidotes,

Healings ‘within and without’ for all things on the planet,

For every living species, and things we call ‘inanimate’!

His Spirit’s in everything, so ‘inanimate’ ….is a joke! ³

Since The Lord ‘animates’ everything in His creation,

In a variety of ways, He animates all healings.

And if you’re following my drift, they start with …hurtful peelings,

As surgeons peel back our flesh to expose problems hidden. ⁴

All of His chastisements and judgments upon man’s sinful ways,

His judgment henchmen that impact lives and our climate,

All things He allows, designed to make us desperate,

Are, in effect, His very broad …hurtful healing works displays! ⁵

That’s why nations that struggle with strifes, internally,

Suddenly shape-up when they are attacked, externally!

Such may well be The Lord’s Hand of Grace, spiritually, 

Moving to hurt, in order to heal their land, thoroughly!

However... 

There’s a disconnect in how we interpret His healing modes,

Because we seek healing from His surgical operations,

While He seeks to heal us from our gross, sinful inclinations,

And thus relieve Earth of her staggeringly heavy sin loads.

Sadly, only a small remnant of mankind will ‘get it’,

And that will be when, for most, it will be far too late,

Because most will swallow satan’s deceptive lie bait,

That made us want to rebel against The Lord’s Holy Writ. ⁶

The coming great tribulation plagues will be the worst ever,

His hurtful healings for sins that reached the worst levels ever!

Only some of us will be here for His best healing ever!!

That is during His Millennial Reign, Earth’s best years ever!!! ⁷

Anti-Christ: Not Who! When? (Poem, Part 1)

Search the web for ‘anti-Christ’ and eventually,

You will see Q&As about who this man might be,

Likely from folks who know some of what The Bible predicts,

About how he will put the world in a terrible fix!

 

And no, it is not my intention,

To contribute to such obsessions.

They have been around since BC times!

That is not the purpose of this rhyme.

 

First, let’s confirm something so many Christians seem to ignore,

And thus on their political opponents much scorn they pour,

By branding somebody as …‘the anti-Christ’. 

In doing such, by devils they’ve been enticed!

 

Here’s why…

While by many Bible verses this man is characterized, ¹

Only two seem to give some clarity on when he’ll arrive.

Yet by many Christians, these verses are discounted,

Thus, by conspiracy theories, they are astounded.

 

‘The mystery of the lawless one is already portrayed,

Until He Who restrains him is gone, then he will be displayed.’ ²

The only One Who restrains the anti-Christ’s unveiling,

Is The Holy Spirit, Whose perfect timing’s un-failing!

 

Determining when from Earth’s scene He might adjourn,

Likely relates to when on Earth He was discerned.

That happened on the birthday of The Church, The Day of Pentecost,

Fifty days after Christ’s resurrection from His death on the cross. ³

 

It stands to reason that His departure,

Might correlate with The Church’s rapture, ⁴

Opening a window for the anti-Christ’s unveiling,

When to satan’s evil power, there’ll be …no curtailing!

 

We who believe the rapture will precede The Lord’s judgment,

Poured upon this sinful world that refuses to repent, ⁵

Should be at peace, knowing this man we will not confront,

Until we face him on …Armageddon’s battlefront!!! ⁶

Audacious Christians (Poem, Part 1)

Across the world, opinions span the entire spectrum,

From those Biblically-inspired-to-those quite loathsome,

Of what it means to be a ‘true Christian’.

And, for sure, you have your own opinion.

Many of us think Christian means ‘a follower of Christ’,

Yet, His earthly life has been incredibly ‘sliced and diced!’

We align with parts that fit our lifestyles,

Regarding what’s left as parts …less worthwhile. 

Others think being Christian accents what we believe,

That our beliefs influence what, from Christ, we’ll receive.

Yet when our actions some core beliefs belie,

To our beliefs, for a while, we’ve bid …goodbye.

Still others think Christian means membership in a church,

A ‘family place’ where some outsiders we besmirch.

They’re organized in politicized-like denominations,

With clashing notions on what, to Christ, are …abominations!

And there is also a large group of folks who may think,

It’s about what we figuratively eat and drink--

Christ’s body, for us broken, and His blood that for us flowed.

Ahhh, that’s ‘holy communion’ in remembrance of Him, owed.

‘It’s all about into water being fully baptized,­

Just as Christ was at the start of His …ministry franchise’.

That is a point another faction might accentuate,

Though a quick dip into water does not a Christian make!

By now, folks across the world must surely agree,

There‘s much confusion about Christianity!

And since, to Father God, Christ is the declared ‘Only way’,

In these last days… 

It’s critical to clear-up points that, to many, seem gray.

‘Christian’ bespeaks of a lifestyle that is arduous,

Demanding moves some may consider …audacious!

Thus, all so-called ‘Christians’, in or out of a church,  

Are not necessarily those found in Christ’s search.

Since everything He creates is at its best from the start,

First century Christians show us what was first in His heart.

Recall their fiery passion, so fateful,

Facing scorn from other Jews, so hateful.

Back then…

In Rome, many were forced into enslavement,

And were fed to lions …for entertainment!

Others were persecuted for their beliefs,

And from The Lord, only a few got relief.

Their lives and blood were the seeds and fertilizer,

That made them The Church’s …early fruits producers.

Their fruits were very well pleasing to Jesus,

And their sacrifices paved the way for us.

To these Christians, The Gospel was a bitter-sweet pill,

Bitter because, culturally, it brought no goodwill,

Yet sweet because they understood God’s salvation plan,

Where between Him and mankind, Christ was …the middle Man. 

Now let’s fast forward to just a few decades later,

When, on the Isle of Patmos John had an encounter.

It resulted in The Book of Revelation,

And includes a review of church congregations.

To the seven churches in Asia Minor,

John penned letters, with Jesus as the Author.

For some churches, The Lord had harsh words and warnings,

Against the directions in which hearts were turning.

And now?

So let’s fast forward to churches across the world today,

And imagine what The Lord’s reviews of us might display,

Compared to all those first century believers,

Who succeeded in breaking first fruits barriers.

That by which many Christians today are ‘enslaved’,

Are lusts of worldly things that our cultures engrave.

And the biggest source of our persecution today might be,

‘Keeping up with the Joneses’, socio-culturally.

Churches are the Roman coliseums equivalent,

Of places we go to enjoy or be the entertainment!

With much stylistic music and sermonizing,

It’s choirs, musicians and preachers we’re scrutinizing.

Church fruits are more likely measured in offering sizes,

Than in ‘souls who repented and are won for Christ’ prizes.

And the job of witnessing to these souls is delegated,

To church officers, not to folks in the pews, congregated.

The Gospel to many folks is served as a sweet milk treat,

To many folks who may never feed on The Lord God’s meat.

But sweet milk treats will never build strong faith in folks to withstand,

Devilish temptations that, on our doorsteps, are sure to land!

Fiery passions for The Gospel and souls who are lost,

Seem lacking in folks who’re not willing to pay the cost.

To how the world defines Christian, they’ve capitulated,

And thus, they’ve largely become …Christians domesticated.

Ergo?...

By such a broad brush, let’s not paint all who profess Christ.

For sure, some are passionately engaged in the fight.

Including some folks who pray for revival among our ranks.

Their challenge: Be the revival, with God’s spirit ‘in their tanks’.

The Lord has a job for His saints to do in these last days,

When, under the weight of sin, Earth’s systems are being frayed. 

But if the world has diluted our effectiveness,

To His commands we will become less fastidious.

Could our ‘Laodicean luke-warm’ qualities today,

Be why The Lord promises to send in fresh troops one day, *

­_­­Thousands of passionate Jewish witnesses when we’re gone,

When people are tempted to become …the anti-Christ’s pawns??

They’ll arrive on the scene, and by an angel will be aided!

They’ll preach audaciously and many souls will be converted!

By the anti-Christ, they all will be beheaded,

Then with the saints, in Heaven, they will be lauded.

(Revelation 7)

Audaciousness! Seriously lacking in The Church today!

Attentiveness! The Lord God’s commands, these troops will not downplay!!

Assuasiveness! They’ll allay fears of those for whom death bells toll!!!

Assertiveness! They’ll ALL live again, and will never grow old!!!!

I get it…

Living by faith in things that are unseen,

Seems like ignoring what's in life's windscreen!

But The Lord commands us: Grow up in Me, fully matured!

From what He demands, most of us seriously ...detoured!

Imminent Eminence (Poem)

Echoed across The Bible’s pages,

Are many promises worth taking time to imagine.

One I love has parts in three places,

And it's worthy of our most careful, close inspection. 

On Earth, these three things will be inextinguishable:

The full Glory and Knowledge of The Lord,

And knowledge of His Glory will be ineffable.

All this and more with The Lord on board! ¹

Together, these three parts paint an incredible picture,

Of Earth after the great tribulation.

Filled with what we now lack, and for which few folks now hunger,

Earth then with a major transformation!

All peoples will speak one language, pre-planned,

Enjoying perfect harmony across all species, 

Wickedness across the whole world then banned,

No warfare breaking out, only The Lord to appease. ²

And imagine this…

‘The moon will be disgraced and the sun ashamed’. ³

Admittedly, this prophecy threw me for a loop! 

My curiosity could not be contained!

My first thought was: Hey, on the moon there is human poop!!!

Here’s why I was so thrown…

With Israel’s priests’ sins, one time The Lord was so scornful,

That He dispatched the prophet Malachi with this message:

‘I will smear on your faces, feces from your festivals!’ ⁴

Today, the moon is disgraced with astronauts’ …waste package!!!’ 

Yep! 

Packaged human waste from mankind’s first lunar landing affair,

Was left on the moon to allow for the weight of moon rocks,

And one day to learn, ‘What happens to waste organisms there?’

That was 50 years ago. We’re now planning more moon walks. ⁵

Also…

I’ve long believed the moon will be much more disgraced,

When upon it, human blood one day is spilled,

And by human warfare, its surface is defaced.

How else could this odd prophecy be fulfilled???

Here’s a powerful insight on which some folks will stumble,

About the impact of The Lord’s and His saints’ arrival.

By His BLAZING GLORY, the moon and sun will be humbled!

To that, add the GLORY of His saints, then glowing immortals! ⁶

Voila! Our combined glory will outshine the sun and moon!!!

Yeah, I know, it’s hard to wrap our minds around,

But that’s the picture The Bible paints on Earth …sometime soon.

So what, pray tell, might that look like on the ground??

When The Lord gives us a hint or tip that’s hard to conceive,

He gives confirmation(s) from a different angle.

So to affirm what in his vision Isaiah perceived,

See Ezekiel’s and John’s visions in their journals ⁷

If you’re not convinced of this incredible prophecy,

Consider The Lord’s ‘batting average’ in our history.

What He has said, you will need to study, dutifully,

Then when you’re convinced, join me in sharing it …passionately.

Eyes on the Nations (Poem, Part 2)

‘Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, 

you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.

So you also, when you see these things happening,

know that the kingdom of God is near.’ 

(Luke 21:29-31)

 

Our pollution has made Earth’s air and waters acidic.

Droughts make soils acidic, and floods make them alkalic.

This has driven every living species on Earth… to the brink!

Because of our sin load, all of Earth’s systems are… out of sync.

She’s alive and sentient. To her, sin is toxic! ¹

Seeing these, isn’t it time to focus on …things prophetic??

 

Part 1 summarizes the five broad nations groups,

On which, in these un-precedented times, The Lord’s ‘eye is peeled’.

Throughout Scripture, He gives a clear clue,

Of a short-cut we should keep in view.

It is a microcosm that in history is revealed,

To help segregate us who’re wise …from nincompoops!

 

Clearly, the nation of Israel is that microcosm.

In His strategic plan for humanity, it is the seed,

Planted in the rich faith of Father Abraham.

It bore the fruits of His …salvation diagram,

Foretold in the history of ancient Israel, indeed.

Behold, her harlotry is now …a global macrocosm! ²

 

On what in our day should we keep our ‘spiritual eyes’ peeled??

Narrowly, it includes His promise of a third temple,

To be built in Jerusalem where a mosque now stands.

To all, it appears this ‘Gordian knot’ blocks His plans,

As upon it, we gaze through eyes that are …merely carnal,

Blinded by our disbelief in Him and the power He wields.

 

Broadly it’s on this nation’s ...trifecta of ‘walls defensive’,

That I suspect we should peel both sets of our eyes, ³

‘Walls’ that The Lord states, one day, Israel will be without.

That’s now something impossible to imagine, no doubt! ⁴

Let’s review how high her defensive walls now rise.

As a foundation to understand The Lord’s word predictive.

 

Nations defensive trifecta, like a three-legged stool,

Are their government, military and alliances.

Upon these they lean, when by difficulties they are stressed.

With each, Israel is currently very richly blessed!!!

So there’s no need to reinforce her …God allegiances.

Aahaaa! This echoes lessons she failed in her …ancient school!

 

Whenever we fail lessons The Lord for us designed,

In Grace, He will orchestrate another chance to pass them.

But when Grace fails because in failing we are intentional,

His strategy changes, with judgments that are incremental,

Until voila, deeply ‘in a fix’ we’re… totally hemmed.

Behold… a promised day in the promised land, consigned!

 

Israel represents the fig tree, spiritual,

Into which The Lord’s Church worldwide has been grafted. ⁵

This is why with Israel, it has strong affinity.

From The Lord, they both have Grace and accountability.

Since like Israel, now the whole world has acted,

Get ready for The Lord’s tough times …pedagogical! ⁶

 

It’s your choice on which to keep your eyes peeled:

On the five nation groups, or on Israel.

Let’s work to keep fully alert and aware,

Of The Lord’s ‘pre-Millennial Reign’ affairs.

They will presage His glorious arrival,

When to Him, the world’s governments will yield.

Isaiah 24 represents a succinct one-chapter summary,

Of the key pre-Millennial things we can expect,

Results of Earth staggering under unbearable sin load,

And her life-sustaining systems on which we depend corrode.

As you read it, into our time you'll need to project.

It was written some 3,000 years ago, prophetically.

Christian Hate and Nationalism? (Q&A)

Q: ‘Real Christians don’t hate people. It’s not our job to judge. That’s God’s job. It’s our job to love and be kind to one another.’ What’s your take on this, and also on so-called ‘Christian nationalism’?

 

A: Thanks for your questions. I fully agree we are called to love all people, and not to hate anyone. Period!

 

That said, let’s do a quick review of what we ARE called to do and be.

 

1. Show respect and God’s love to sinners, but not to their sinful lifestyles. These are not easy to segregate. It is unfortunate that casting any negative light on sinful lifestyles is interpreted as 'not loving me!' That's satan at work in our world, and he has deceived most Christians to just keep silent and avoid controversies. As a result, they never grow to full maturity as The Lord requires and demands. Consider how stringently Jesus spoke to Pharisees during His time as a human on Earth. They most likely thought He hated 'them' rather than their sin. They were too spiritually BLIND to see His attacks were actually done ...in love, just as young children are unable to appreciate strong parental discipline done out of a heart of love.

 

2. Hate all sin and call it out when clearly evident, even our own! Calling sin, sin, is not for babes who accept Christ, but who never grow up to full maturity in Him, as He requires and demands. These babes are akin to fetuses that never develop sufficiently to be born at all. It is unfortunate that the world interprets calling out sin, as ‘judging people’. Spiritual blindness blocks folks from perceiving the differences. Again, that's satan at work in our world. Nevertheless, we must find effective ways to obey, or be held responsible for the outcomes of a world without adequate spiritual salt that's designed to help preserve righteousness. 

 

3. In various ways, preach The Word 'in and out of season'. Otherwise, sinners won’t ever learn they need to repent (i.e., turn around and actually live different lifestyles), and will be forgiven. If we neglect to do this, God promises to hold us responsible! This is a key point that separates real Christ followers from Christianesque CINOs who would never in a b-zillion years consider obeying what Christ calls us to do. In slang, this separates 'the MATURE from the babes' who never grow up in Christ.

4. Judge sins between each other, not sinners. Please see: Judging Misjudged (Poem)

Bottom line: Do not allow this sinful world manipulate you into its twisted, un-informed definition(s) of who and what a 'real Christian' is and does. Study The Bible rigorously to LEARN and APPLY what The Lord, Himself, requires, since He and He alone has the first and final say in that matter. That's the only way you and I will escape being 'vomited out of His mouth' for being an ineffective, useless, lukewarm, so-called Christian, per Revelation 3:14-22. Yep, He's deadly serious about all of this.

 

Re. your second question, Jesus has nothing to do with so-called Christian nationalism. He only required one nation to be a theocracy (ancient Israel), and it failed miserably in that call. I know of no Biblical evidence of any call for pagan nations to become 'Christianized'. There are many promises they will be (and have been) judged for their wickedness that spills over innate, natural understandings of what is good and right, independent of them being 'evangelized'. 

The Lord God has promised to revive His theocratic call to Israel, and then (get this...) to remain on Earth a thousand years to ENFORCE IT! In fact, at that time, the whole world will be ……(taadaaa)…. a Theocracy! And I will be there as one of its immortal, governmental administrators. 😇 This role is reserved for, and promised to those whom HE (not this world) regards as ‘Christian’.

Red Sea Parting Theories (Q&A)

Q: Controversy continues to abounds over the Red Sea crossing. What are your thoughts on new theories, e.g., it was the Reed Sea with a land bridge, not the Red Sea; The Red sea was at an exceptionally low level, easy to cross; and a regular set of winds, not God, parted the sea?

 

A: Indeed, ever since The Lord began to converse with mankind, devilish forces have conspired to prompt us to discount, deny, dismiss and denigrate whatever He has said. No surprise they are pretty good at their job! In our day, their strategies bleed over into every aspect of life on Earth. Truth and facts are now fake news; good is now evil and evil is good. All of this is the predicted atrophic processes of our sin-ridden world.

 

Rather than delving into the details of such theories, questions like this might best be answered by sharing what I understand are Heaven’s key perspectives on what it means to be a Christian believer, a follower of Christ. The generic principles are not too dissimilar from what Heaven required of Old Testament Jewish believers -- not all the fine points of the Mosaic and the host of other Judaic laws and customs. 

 

First and foremost, Christian believers ‘believe’ and do not doubt The Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God, just as it attests to be. (2 Peter 1:19-21, and confirmed in 2 Peter 3:16-17) If believers doubt any part of the Holy Scriptures, they leave themselves w-i-d-e open to devilish influences and deceptions to disbelieve other aspects, until ultimately they confront satan’s highest temptation, namely to DOUBT IT ALL, especially, ‘there is NO God, or something called sin, and ergo, NO day of reckoning will come down the road, so don’t worry or sweat any of that stuff!’ In his crafty wisdom, satan and his imps never, ever start their dark deceptions attacking BIG points of The Gospel. They are way too wise for such. Rather, they start with the small stuff. And unfortunate for us, that has been their winning strategy. Who hasn’t faced some version of this temptation?!

 

Second, a believer seeks always to be filled with, and guided/directed by The Holy Spirit in all matters of this life. While no one achieves this perfectly, the point is to demonstrate to our ever on-looking Holy Trinity, our best efforts to do so, and our sincere repentance when we ‘miss the mark’. Why is this so important? A follower of Christ is reportedly ‘spiritually baptized into The Kingdom of God’ BY the same Holy Spirit Who promises to facilitate that believer’s steady growth process as a citizen in/of The Kingdom. If a person’s conversion is sincere, there WILL be some evidences of this leading and guiding work, in part, as an encouragement to the believer, and also as a testimony to the observant, critical world. satanic temptations to believers are to deny and block The Holy Spirit from accomplishing His assignment, until they fit squarely into the despicable picture Jesus (post-incarnate) paints of lukewarm followers whom He promises to spiritually ‘vomit out of My mouth!’ Unfortunately, it appears many so-called Christians clearly fit snugly into this picture painted in Revelation 3:14-22.

 

Third, Christ-followers/believers demonstrate growing concern for those who are ‘lost in their sinfulness’, and remain spiritually dead to God. We know clearly what The Bible iteratively attests will be the eternal judgment for these souls, namely the exact judgment promised to satan and his entire army of fallen angels (devils and demons). They will be cast into the hopeless lake of eternal fire (hell), far away from all/anything called ‘GOOD’, and in a new, immortal, tripartite physical form (spirit, soul and body) that will experience and feel everything and perhaps much more than our current person can experience and feel.

 

Why much more? No parts of an immortal body will ever grow old or atrophy! It will forever maintain its PEEK performance and abilities. I imagine an immortal body forever confined to the fires of hell may be extremely sensitive to such pangs of life we currently grow to ignore. Such insights cause true Christians to pray for, and to seek opportunities to warn some souls in this life of the incredible option to such a place that was created for devils and demons, not for humans! 

 

Lastly, bona fide Christian believers regularly feed on nourishing insights from across the pages of The Bible. As we do, The Holy Spirit is always at work helping us to identify and extract key principles to apply to/in our own lives. He is the only Expert Who can do this, both directly as we read and meditate on what's written in the Scriptures, and also indirectly, through others (like me) who help to sharpen understandings and to break down more complex aspects of the Scriptures for eadier digestion.

 

Applying these basic perspectives to your question about the Red Sea parting should clearly outline Heaven’s expectations of its bona fide citizens. Irrespective of how The Lord parted The Red Sea (which I was blessed to visit and take a tour on), I am good with the details of the Biblical account. Jesus, The Lord God, is Lord of all His creation, including winds, waves, rocks, animals, etc., etc. He ‘speaks their languages’, so when and what He commands them to do, unlike us, THEY OBEY.
