The Lord Jesus is The MOST strategic-minded thinker ever! And that’s an understatement. Moreover, He has a BIG soft spot in His heart for humanity. That’s the spot from which His immeasurable GRACE emanates for and toward us. As our Creator, He knows our weak spots, and had planned for them in the ways He developed to connect with us. The kingpin of His plan is His Bible. In it, we learn He inspired the men who wrote it across the 1st and 2nd ages of our history. Then He carefully preserved it over the millennia, and raised up hegemon empires to play assigned roles to facilitate the unfolding of His GRAND strategy.
He knew we would think The Bible is too difficult for the average person to comprehend, and that most of us would give up, and delegate the study of it to professionals. And history proves, we have all paid a high price for that decision as it severed the deeply intimate personal links between Him and us, personally, as He had planned.
Repetitive Patterns
As I personally came to understand this issue, He inspired and challenged me to get back into His Word as a core element of my retirement years. As I did, I began to perceive a host of repetitive patterns all across The Bible, and their ‘seed-like’ connections to major and even minor events across history. Moreover, as I began to focus on the relatively few yet-fulfilled Biblical prophecies, I saw the same or very similar patterns therein.
This led me to the conclusion that He, The Most strategic Mind ever, intends us to ‘pick-up’ on these repetitive patterns as a key means to comprehend Who He is, how His predicted strategy of 7 ages of human history is unfolding, and at what point we are in His BIG picture strategy. I imagine most of that could never be perceived without a ‘patterned study’ of The Bible, the book of Him who apparently loves repetitive patterns, applied differently across history.
As a result, I have dedicated more time to studying and perceiving these patterns, and to assessing them against global developments. And as He instructed me long ago, I have dutifully shared what I ‘see’. Imagine if we had a list of ---His repetitive patterns, and could map them across our history. Moreover, what if we could intuit the various stages of these patterns, and correlate them with global, national, societal and even personal developments? Imagine the prophetic edge that would give more of us, and how He, through us, individually and collectively, might, in various ways, help to shape, shorten, prolong and/or ‘colorize’ how those patterns play out in our days? I would call that being The Lord’s ‘patterns prophet’.
Of course the big issue with that is what it might it trigger in folks who lack faith to hear, believe and perceive what is unfolding. The Old Testament is chock full stories about such people, and the heavy prices they ALL paid for their personal unbelief, and also the unbelief they helped to trigger and sustain among their on-lookers. Well, we are experiencing this same sequenced pattern TODAY. Why? The kingdom of satan also loves patterns because lucifer learned about them before he became satan, and he and a third of the former holy angels were kicked out of Heaven, and fell to Earth.
Thus, we can be assured that particular pattern will always be with us in this life. The pertinent question is, ‘What can we learn from it, and how can we apply what we learn to enhance our experiences the ‘next time’ we perceive a particular pattern is about to repeat?? In many cases, the arc of, and between The Lord’s GLOBAL and NATIONAL patterns may be so long, that we lose sight of them against the grind of daily life. But here's something I perceive: His global and national patterns have societal, familial and personal counterparts!!! Thus, the arcs applied to those groups is not so long. Perhaps The Lord may have intentionally strategically structured this, to help us ‘who have eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to believe’, to be instructed by His application of patterns on a more local basis, and thus, be more alert to spotting them developing nationally and globally.
Stay tuned for Part 2
