‘These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord.’
Thus begins a song once adored,
With just one phrase on Elijah! 1
Elijah, a fiery prophet in ancient Israel,
Was the second of two persons, The Bible records,
To be raptured into Heaven to be with The Lord.
He and Enoch were raptured ALIVE. To us that’s surreal! 2
Or is it?? Isn’t that the hope that has long inspired,
The desires of born-again folks across the post-cross age?
That’s the very hope that most Bible prophetic books raise.
Maybe that is why these two men are so admired.
Enoch was raptured sight unseen,
As he reportedly ‘…walked with God, and was not.’
But Elijah was raptured in a public spot.
His rapture was …not unforeseen!!!
Say what?!
Fifty-one prophets, one close-up, fifty at a distance,
Were present when, by a chariot of fire,
Elijah’s rapture into Heaven transpired.
They and other prophets foreknew of his pending absence!
Ponder this: If these are indeed ‘The Days of Elijah’,
Should prophets today have some degree of foreknowledge,
Of the next rapture, and all believers encourage?
If so, would we all breakout in a shout, ‘Hallelujah!’??
‘The testimony of Jesus is The Spirit of Prophecy’,
An angel once told Apostle John.
Now upon you, Friends, let this thought dawn:
If you testify of Jesus, you’re a prophet, Biblically! 3
So in these ‘days of Elijah’, what do you foreknow?
Jesus said only The Father knows the day and hour, 4
When we will experience His rapturous power.
So about the time of the rapture, what can we know??
In His word choice, Jesus, is highly strategic.
Could our not knowing the day and hour be a possible hint,
Prophets today could know one or the other of that event,
Or know the month, year, decade …His hints didactic?
Before stating what only God knows in His sanctum,
Jesus twice mentioned …what we should know of our future. 5
So… between Elijah’s and our glorious rapture,
Ponder this: What if there might be some parallelism??
