Ages Transitions Global Judgments
No serious study of end-times prophecies and events would be complete without careful examination of the similarities and differences between the first and the next promised global judgments, namely the global flood and the great tribulation. So, let’s dig in and see what The Bible infers.
This series addresses three categories: A. Pre-judgment Acts, (Part1), B. Judgment Processes (Part 2), and C. Post-judgment Life (Part 3). While some aspects of this issue have been addressed in posts throughout this blog, this series augments and summarizes what I perceive relative to the topic.
C. Post-judgment Life (Numbering continues from Part 2)
12. Salvation’s ‘touch down’
Global flood: The ark of salvation ‘touched down’ on Mount Ararat. Imagine the sheer thankfulness and joy of Noah and his family to be back on solid ground! They likely continued to reside in the ark for a while until they had arranged other means of shelter. His family began to farm fruits and vegetables. His sons families began to grow to sizeable numbers. Eventually, they migrated to the Plain of Shinar, where one of Noah’s grandsons by his son, Ham, became a mighty leader. His name was Nimrod.
Great tribulation: The Lord, the true Ark of God’s Salvation, will ‘touch down’ on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:14) with His resurrected, immortal saints (His invading army and government) who will spread out across the whole world, taking charge of all levels of human governments. It is safe to presume we will ‘hit the ground running’, likely having received our individual and team Millennial assignments during our sojourn in Heaven as the great tribulation unfolded on Earth. (Search this blog for ‘job description’) This prediction is generally portrayed in Luke 19:11-29. As if to prevent a repeat of sinfulness rapidly spreading across the Earth, as it did after the flood, The Lord & Company will remain physically present here for a full thousand years! Essentially, in governing, we will ‘police righteousness’, initially among all survivors of the great tribulation, and later, among their descendants born during the Millennial Reign.
13. Habitats
Global flood: It is safe to presume not one wall or any kind of human habitat survived the flood. Every wall very likely fell down, globally. As noted, Noah and his family may well have lived in the ark for quite some time, then in tents as they moved around, until they settled and built more substantial housing. Noah and sons must have been master builders, having built the huge, architecturally-viable ark according to The Lord’s personal design specs.
Great tribulation: The Lord has iteratively promised He will violently ‘shake the Earth out of its place’, and every wall will fall down, globally!!! (See Part 2) This quickly translates into 100 percent homelessness among ALL tribulation survivors, the world over, many of whom might already be homeless from years of migrating to escape the effects of devastating plagues. My, my, what a shocking introduction to their new, global King, after having sworn allegiance to the anti-Christ global leader and accepting his mark of the beast! I know no Bible indication of how long their homelessness predicament will last.
14. Law-giver
Global flood: Post-flood, for a while, there was only one law-giver, Noah. Every member of his early extended family likely obeyed and revered him, at least for a while, just as I imagine our earliest relatives likely obeyed and revered Adam in the early decades and centuries after he and Eve were evicted from The Garden of Eden. Noah undoubtedly shared with all his extended family the stark encounters he personally had with The Lord before the flood. For some time, they might have lived ‘in the shadow of’ the ark, an incredible sight even when viewed from afar on a mountain top! (I saw one afar off! *) For a long time, the family’s history was evidently seeded with stories of the lengthy, safe, dry stay in the ark, while everyone outside perished. I imagine, for a while, Noah’s sons became the revered law-givers in their expanding families.
Great tribulation: Post-tribulation, there will be only One Law-giver, Jesus, The Lord God. Everyone shall obey and revere Him, or else!!! He will essentially force peaceful righteousness all across the Earth! He will delegate substantial powers and authorities to His company of immortal saints across the world, who will similarly insist on being obeyed, as they, too, submit to The Lord’s overall authority. Tribulation survivors will have been dramatically convinced of His powers during the lengthy plagues, and especially from reports (possibly videos?) of the drastic, unimaginable manner in which He will have ended the 1st War of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and Zechariah 14:12), and the Armageddon War! (Revelation 19:11-21) Thus, all peoples will quickly earn to curry His favor. As a result, an incredible amount of wealth will accrue in Jerusalem, not that He will need it. It will ultimately serve as a magnet and trap for sinful people after the Millennial Reign is over, just as the large build-up of wealth in Israel before and during the great tribulation will have served a trap for the 1st War of Gog and Magog. (See: The Coming Lame Blame (Poem))
15. Sinners on Earth
Global flood: Before the flood, a small remnant of sinful people was saved, namely Noah’s family members. The Lord did not declare/find them to be righteous. Their purpose was to repopulate Earth after the flood, signaling The Lord was not yet finished with his ‘project human’. Ergo, ALL humans born since the flood are descendants of Noah and his family. It wasn’t too long after the flood ended that sinfulness began to increase. One of their early sins was to disobey The Lord’s command to Noah and his family, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the Earth’ (the same command He had given to Adam and Eve). Rather, they initiated a project to build a city and a tower ‘to the heavens’, seeking to make a name for themselves, i.e., a monument city. (Might the rationale for a tower have been …just in case another flood occurred?)
Great tribulation: After the tribulation plagues, a sizable remnant of sinners will be spared. Great tribulation survivors will be the only humans left. They will have withstood The Lord’s worst ever judgments on sinful mankind! Their purpose will be to step into the role Noah’s family played, to repopulate Earth early in The Millennial Reign. Again, this signals The Lord will not be finished with His ‘project human’. This is because a total of seven (7) ages are ordained for humans on Earth, the seventh of which will be eternity on a promised, new Earth. Ponder this: Only three groups of people will have ever had the honor of being the only humans left on Earth: Adam and Eve, Noah’s family, and great tribulation survivors.
16. Earth’s population
Global flood: After the flood (until Noah and his immediate family members died), there were both pre- and post-flood people on Earth. This correlates with the centuries during which Adam and Eve were the only ‘former Eden’ residents on Earth that was filled with people who did not experience Eden. Within only ten generations after Adam, when Noah was born,
Great tribulation: After the tribulation (until tribulation survivors die), there will be both pre- and post- tribulation people on Earth. Imagine the questions the children and distant descendants of tribulation survivors might have about ‘the mark of the beast’ on their parents and ancestors bodies. Imagine how unbelievable the great tribulation might likely become centuries after it happened, even with Jesus as The Lord God on the Earth! Over time, culture erodes and sin corrodes our ability to believe TRUTH, simply because, ‘something like that has never happened …in our time!’ That’s spiritual myopia.
