Firing Creation's Founder?! (Poem)

Founders of companies that become hugely successful,

Are often booted out by their own board of directors,

Who over time have become increasingly skeptical,

Of founders who have become new ideas obstructors!

 

When negotiations hit the fan, the axe finally falls,

And to the curb or beyond, the founder is booted out,

And into the annals of business history, he then crawls.

So why do such situations continue to play out?

 

Reasons 'founders flounder' are many, and they vary widely. ¹

Created to find and serve an increasing customer base,

Companies must evolve and produce what customers fancy.

Creating, rather than following their demand …is an ‘ace’.

 

As I pondered these events across the world of business,

I am struck by a strong spiritual similarity,

To how, in mankind’s collective foolishness and brashness,

We mimic these boards of directors systematically! 

 

To Jesus, God delegated power and authority,

To found creation and life diverse only upon the Earth,

And to sustain incredibly diverse life forms artfully.

But He’s encountered resistance that’s anything but covert!

 

Mankind, as Earth’s collective ‘board of directors',

In all generations, has found various ways and means,

And in all of life’s many and complex sectors,

To get The Lord’s Founder and Sustainer roles to careen.

 

As sinful lifestyles across the world greatly exploded,

He could not meet our evolving ‘customer demands’.

Confident belief in Him as Founder thus eroded.

As in these last days, the move to boot Him out …e-x-p-a-n-d-s.

 

‘I AM The Lord. I don’t change, nor do commands I define! ²

But this hard stance His ‘customer base’ does not approve!!!

Thus, many folks embrace even more sin-life paradigms, 

And because of Grace, for now, they enjoy their sin grooves. ³

 

Because of His Grace, which is meant to lead them to repentance, ⁴

They’ve sadly been lulled into the gross mis-perception,

That from His Founder/Sustainer roles, they’ve won independence!

One day they’ll know…

From His roles, there will never be an abdication.
