The Day That Was

What is the Light that was,

Before the sun was not??

Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5. Suns/stars and moons were not created until Day 4, per Genesis 1:14-19)

There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for The Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:5, predictions of life on the new, eternal Earth.)

These verses clearly reveal there must be two kinds of ‘light’, ‘day’ and ‘night’. (Please re-read that sentence.) That which we consider light (i.e., from the suns/stars and moons) was not created until Day 4 of creation, whereas the original Light may not have been ‘created’, per se, but was simply commanded to ‘Be!’, that is to spread and disperse darkness, possibly both physical and spiritual. We now know that which we call day and night are those times during which one side of celestial bodies either directly faces, or faces away from its closest sun.

Since there is no clear record of the original Light ever being created, I conclude it must be the fullness of the Presence of God, Himself – The I AM presence, which includes His knowledge, wisdom, enlightenment, power, grace, authority…ALL. Revelation 22:5 affirms this Light will supersede the lives of all current suns and moons that, respectively, give and reflect natural light during these six ages of human history on this current version of Earth.

The Lord promised to create a new, eternal Earth, in a new universe, with no sun(s).(Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22) His personal 'GLORY LIGHT', and that of His immortal saints will be what will light both that new Earth, AND possibly the universe, and there will never be any night!!! (Revelation 22:5) Can't imagine that?? Then ponder this awesome promise:

Then the moon will be disgraced, and the sun ashamed;

For The Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

and before His elders, GLORIOUSLY!

(Isaiah 24:23)

This is a prediction of what life will be like during The Millennial Reign, the pending 5th age of human history. During that age, the combined GLORY LIGHT of The Lord and ALL His resurrected, immortal and glorified saints from the previous ages of history, and possibly also  ALL His angels, will be on, and above this current version of Earth, glowing at will. Our combined GLORY LIGHT across this planet will literally outshine (shame) the sun, and over take (disgrace) moonlight! This, my friends, is a mere foretaste of Revelation 22:5. Moreover, it is this GLORY LIGHT that will initially terrorize the tribulation remnants who will transition from that age, into The Millennial Reign age. (Isaiah 2)

So do you now understand what was the Light  that was,

before the suns/stars and moons were not?
