Consider the vast number of species on our planet,
And then ponder this question:
Why is it only man whose lifestyles damage its climate??
Why to such are we driven??
Angst over climate change and the environment,
Has exploded, perhaps like no time before!
Younger generations fear their predicament,
Yet lifestyles they inherited, they adore.
Young or old, rich or poor, one thing we all have in common,
Is that, collectively, we all produce LOTS of trash,
And by it, environments are over-burdened.
Even in rivers and oceans, much trash has been stashed!
Trash heaps! What in the world to do with them??
With populations growing exponentially, how will we cope??
When I asked The Lord, He gave me this gem:
I’m not anxious about trash heaps. They're fields for
...My righteous hope.
I asked Him to break that down for me so I could understand,
And be able to share with you what I would learn.
It’s in context of His multi-millennial plan for man.
So thinking of trash, it’s His plan we should discern.
There are two starkly different perspectives about trash:
Physical trash is what we know well and tend to focus on,
About which many contradictory opinions clash.
Spiritual trash is a notion …at which folks yawn.
The Lord is concerned about, and has experience with both,
And between them, may not distinguish major differences.
In the highest sense, trash heaps are remnants of His judgment blows,
Consequences when we reject His righteous preferences.
On trash heaps of history, He’s done His most impactful works.
On the trash heap of satan’s rebellion in Heaven,
The Lord created man, and assigned him a garden to work.
Adam’s sin turned Earth into a kingdom for satan.
Since then, on the trash heap…
--of Adam’s sin, The Lord planted, then nurtured seeds of man’s eternal redemption 1
--of devils corrupting human DNA, He cleansed Earth of folks hyper-sinfulness, and repopulated the planet with a family whose DNA was largely uncorrupted 2
--of sinful Amorite civilizations, He founded ancient Israel
--of Nebuchadnezzar’s sinful pride, He sent Persian kings to overthrow Babylon, then seated kings on Persian thrones who would support His people’s return to the promise land
--of Israel’s gross rebellion, He scattered 10 northern tribes the world over, folks whose descendants who’d be regathered to the promise land at an appointed time
--of Judah’s gross rebellion, He preserved a remembering remnant in Babylon
--of blood-soaked Golgotha Hill, He opened Heaven’s door to us 3
--of early Christian slaughters, He sowed seeds for their faith to be spread worldwide
--of World War II, He founded the modern state of Israel, and enabled a new world order
--of massive abortions, He stirred massive immigration to help replace nations’ losses 4
In this listing, imagine the two kinds of trash heaps involved,
In lives, families, communities and nations that were trashed,
Plus promises of blessings that, because of sin, were dissolved.
Just know The Lord has been busy cleaning up our …trashy past!
Imagine what He’s doing now on trash heaps:
--of slavery worldwide, past and present
--of civil wars that tore nations apart
--of racism that plagues our planet
--of sinful greed destroying lives and ruining societies
Ponder what He told Jeremiah, the Prophet:
‘In Earth, I’m exercising Grace, Judgment, and Righteousness’.
I hope you’ll see what I now see:
Our BIGGEST trash heaps come from two things that are opposites:
Our abuse of His Grace, and His resulting Judgment mess. 5
When you think of impacts of trash now being accrued,
On the Earth’s climate and environment,
Ask yourself: Which Grace from The Lord is being abused,
And what/when may be His …pending judgment??
Now imagine the humongous, global trash heaps,
That will result from the coming tribulation plagues!
Only The Bible gives windows through which we peep,
To perceive what good things from these heaps, The Lord will raise.
