I conclude about
glory there’s much confusion!
A place, a thing,
down here, up there …glory notions.
So by ‘glory’,
exactly what do we mean?
Let’s sharpen our ‘glory view’ and make it keen.
Glory seems to be
something we know little about.
An old song
mentions being ‘under God’s ‘glory
spout’. 1
In lieu of wanting to
be ‘under
God’s glory spout’,
We are the spout where His Glory in Earth is poured
out!
For us who are the righteousness of God in Christ,
We have been
given His glory power and light.
Within our earthen
vessels, His glory is hidden. 2
So why think of glory
as everywhere but within?!
Hidden within us is
enlightening knowledge,
Of God’s full glory
in Jesus Christ, His image. 3
Since glory notions
may be somewhat fuzzy and cloudy,
Let’s ponder the
link between this knowledge
and our glory.
A principal
objective of our Christian walk,
Is to increase and
apply our ‘Christ knowledge stock’,
Till in the unity
of faith, knowledge and perfection,
In the full measure
and stature of Christ, we awaken. 4
By coming to the
knowledge of God’s Truth, we are saved.
By growing in
knowledge, roads to Grace and Peace are paved,
And we come to
realize, in Christ, all of our needs are met.
Thus, we can be
pleasingly fruitful in good works, and not fret. 5
Friends, in this
state, we glow in the dark, spiritually,
And Father
increases our glory, satisfyingly.
Angels, devils and
people alike will see you glow,
And your key to
peace in this world, folk will want to know!
Consider your glory
is akin to a spark,
A normal fiery
particle, a flash in the dark.
If that spark falls
into some dry kindling,
Then with dry wood,
a fire will be blazing.
See that spark as Christ’s glory. God put it
in you.
He asks of you, the kindling, your soul to renew.
Let the dry wood be as your life, to Christ submitted. 6
Like fires, as your
glory is stoked, more is afforded!
Christ’s glory
in us is God’s tri-partite design:
1. To install us as
LIGHT in a dark world to shine,
2. To empower
greater works than all those Jesus did,
3. For eternity, to
show us in Christ, perfected.
If you’re born
again, and could see your spirit,
You’d see God’s
light and power glory deposit.
Whether its just a
spark, or is fully ablaze,
It’s the glory of
Christ that your spirit displays
While your spirit
is your life’s inner core,
Like a room, it has
‘windows and a door’.
Whatever you have inside
will certainly dilate,
And with it, outside
words and actions will correlate.
Wanna glow? Renew your mind.
Seek God’s Truth.
Do not be blind.
To glow more,
submit your life.
Die to self, and
follow Christ.
