Welcome~

Hello and Welcome~

The world is blind to these SEVEN, pivotal facts:

1. The Bible communicates Heaven’s 'Multi-millennial Strategic Plan for Humanity'.

2. There are SEVEN ages appointed for humanity.

3. We are nearing the end of the THIRD age, a pivotal turning point in this strategy.

4. A GREAT falling away from the Christian faith is predicted during the ending days of this THIRD age, as a result of backsliding, general lukewarmness and outright apostasy among the heretofore faithful. Look around and this you will clearly see.

5. Biblical prophecies have been and remain seeds of human history.

6. Yet-fulfilled prophecies, unfolding apace, are worthy of diligent study.

7. Now is the time to get and stay on ‘the right side of Bible prophecy’.

This Unity vs. Dis-unity?

The oft heard expression, “Being on the wrong side of history”, has considerable currency in our day, being increasingly applied by powerful political figures to nations and world leaders who are taking unpopular stances many believe will be judged by history as being "in the wrong."  When stances taken will be viewed (looking back historically) from far in the future, they will be considered to have been on the 'wrong', 'losing' or 'immoral' side of the particular issue, even though public opinion may have been unclear on this point at the time the stance was taken.  Being judged as “on the right side of history” is a virtue.

How much more virtuous is it to be on the “right side” of moves of God, rather to be found inadvertently opposing His moves?  It is so easy to be on the wrong side of moves of God, especially since He affirms in Isaiah 55:9, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”  For example, though God had promised to send His Messiah (The Anointed One or Christ), through a virgin birth into the Jewish nation, people, especially religious scholars of the day, missed the incredible move of God represented by the birth, ministry and death of Jesus, just as they totally missed and dis-believed God’s promise through Noah, of a worldwide flood.  There is something about moves of God that we humans just have a habit of missing as we get locked into our own narrow interpretations of scripture and world events.

There is a particular issue unfolding in our world today that has or should have Christians the world over earnestly wrestling with.  It will be important to perceive and be on both the right side of history and the next move of God.  This issue is "coming to the unity of the faith”:
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:11-15)
During May 2014, for much of my Bible devotion and meditation, I was drawn to John 17, commonly known as the Priestly Prayer Jesus prayed during the run-up to His crucifixion.  As I mused on this prayer day-after-day, one which I know Jesus prayed in faith, and which God is answering in His time, I began to ponder several repeated requests therein for which God’s answers seemingly have yet to be revealed.  One request in particular that attracted my attention is “that they be one”.  This request is repeated FIVE times.  This indicates how heavily the (future) issue of Christian dis-unity was already on Jesus’ heart, even while facing the certainty of a gut-wrenching, flesh-ripping, agonizing crucifixion.  This also signifies how great God’s GRACE would be in order to overcome dis-unity, since the number, 5, represents ‘the Grace of God’.

So the month of May offered much time to ponder what would this unity look like, and when might God’s answer to this request be revealed.  Over the ages, satan has had a field-day sowing seeds of dis-unity, not only among Christ followers, but also across practically every religion that ever existed.  Dis-unity, discord, offense and strife, no matter the area of life, has been and remains his chief calling card, and all humanity has followed suit.

The end of May, I was blessed to attend the Believers’ Voice of Victory (Kenneth Copeland Ministries - KCM) convention in Henderson, Nevada (adjacent to Las Vegas).  Following these meetings, KCM requested its partners in attendance to opine about areas in which the ministry could enhance its worldwide outreach (general ministry, disaster relief, leadership development, etc.) and sharpen its focus.  Since the issue of unity had been heavily on my heart during the run-up to this convention, I submitted an impassioned plea for the resources of this international ministry to focus on promoting unity among Christ followers the world over, in accordance with Jesus’ prayer in John 17.

Today I received the video of one of the kick-off meetings of KCM’s southwest convention in July (http://youtu.be/zihTk2YAOj4), and I was over-joyed at the laser-sharp focus on the issue of…(Ta…daaaaa)…unity among Christ followers!  That which has looked totally impossible, inconceivable, and impractical since the day Jesus prayed this prayer, is seemingly beginning to unfold right under our noses!  What a joy to witness and, for a change, be on the right side of an unfolding move of God!  Yet even as God is moving to accomplish His purposes and will on earth, rest assured, seeds of dis-unity have not been uprooted.  They continue to flourish and bear much fruit.

For example, during the ages, satan, who can only try to mimic and pervert the things of God, has spawned his own versions of a ‘unified worldwide church’, including many cults and false teachings.  So the recent calls for a one-world government and one-world religion* are like spiritual earthquakes across the worldwide protestant church, as they perhaps should be.  On the surface, these sound too much like Bible prophecies outlined in several New Testament books, including the Book of Revelation.  But it is important to keep in mind, during much of what is predicted in Revelation, the Church will not be present to experience!  Moreover, before the Church is extricated from earth, we will become one, or Jesus will have a big problem on His hands as we carry our discordant and divisive quibbles and squabbles from earth, on the cloud-ride to Heaven!

So whether it occurs via oppression (as history demonstrates) or otherwise,
One, we shall become!
Thus, it is definitely worth “watching and praying” to perceive how ‘this unity’ rather than more ‘dis-unity’ may unfold during the shortening time of this present age.

The Theory of What?

BBC asks:
How odd is a cluster of plane accidents?
http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-28481060

Here is my conclusion:  Theory/smeary of the statistical Poisson Distribution!  Well before, definitely during, and gratefully after any flight ....... PRAY!!!!!!!, 'cause God says, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16), even warding off disasters! The unrepentant among us should pray 'hard, hard, hard' that there is at least ONE praying believer in Jesus on board their flights!

That's my take.  What's yours?

Recalibrating Our Focus

‘Why do You stand afar off, O Lord?
Why do You hide in times of trouble?’

Ever think or feel like this? David, the Psalmist did, as noted in Psalm 10:1. Even if you never thought or felt this way (or perhaps would not care to admit it), honestly, I have. But through experience, prayer and meditation, I am s-l-o-w-l-y learning that, with trouble, the ‘presenting problem’ is not necessarily the real problem, much like the symptom we tell a doctor about may not be the root of the medical problem. I am learning to perceive the hidden purposes of trouble -- whether to trick me into focusing so intently on trouble until all else, including God and His awesome promises to me, pale into insignificance; or to jump-track me out of deepening trouble, and into prayerful focus on God’s promises and deliverance.

Consider taking this challenge. Search and study what The Bible says about God testing mankind. Then meditate on this: God's tests and satan's temptations may often be two sides of the same coin. The test may well be to overcome the temptation to fail the test. God, like our teachers and professors, remains quiet during tests. Accurately perceiving the test vs. the temptation comes with spiritual maturity and learning to recalibrate your focus based on a broad and deep knowledge of God’s nature and Word promises to us.

So the next time you think or feel like God is standing afar off, or even hiding in times of your trouble, consider whether you may have been similarly duped into magnifying the problems and misperceiving the test, rather than focusing on the answer(s) to the problems, Who is Christ. When we ask God what’s going on, perceive His answer: Who Am I? Our ‘What?’ questions are best answered with ‘Who?’

As you recalibrate your focus, you will clearly see, as other psalmists wrote:

‘God is my/our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore I/we will not fear...!’  (Psalm 46:1-2)

What Spirit We Are Of (Poem)

Through the blisters, bumps, bruises and brokenness of life,
It's never, ever about THEM;
It's always about HIM! (Jesus)
Oh what price we pay, when such things trick us into strife!

Life's about more than what mere humans can see.
There are many unseen forces, urging you and me.
Ignore them, and end up hostages to their devices.
So be wise, study and apply the Bible's advices!

Chief of these advices is the Law of Love:
An act or word to forgive, a wrong to overlook.
It's not your or my job to bring wrongs 'to book'.
Let these things show the world ... what Spirit WE are of.

Which Route for You?

Fear Exalts Against Righteousness  (f.e.a.r.)
     ...by being
False Evidence Appearing Real  (f.e.a.r.)
     ...but
Faith Activated Instantly Touches Heaven~ (F.A.I.T.H.)
     ...(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
Choose your thought route carefully!

Fight Fire with Fire

Jesus commands believers in Him to speak to mountains.  He also says His words "...are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63).  Our words are similarly spirit, but not always life.

Since words are spirit, He may well have been commanding us to speak words (spirit) to the motivating spirit-ual forces (angels, good and bad) influencing and shaping the mountainous, circumstantial problems of life.  In this manner, we "Fight fire with fire!", i.e., speak spirit (words) to spirits (motivating life's circumstances), and  thereby get on with living the abundant life.

Realities vs. Actualities

Though the promises of God are "Yes and Amen!" (2 Corinthians 1:20),
In your spirit they must become REALITIES -- by meditation,
Before in your life they become ACTUALITIES -- by activation.

Between Your Rooster's Crows

Most of us are familiar with the story of Peter's 3 incredible denials of knowing Jesus.  Peter charged ahead in his iterative denials of Jesus, even though Jesus had openly warned him, in front of all the disciples, of his (Peter's) pending denials that he even knew Jesus!  Peter apparently got so caught up 'in the moment' that he only took time to THINK ... AFTER the rooster's 3rd crow.  Then he recalled Jesus' words and was greatly ashamed.

Man, am I too much like Peter -- often failing to heed "clear" iterative warnings, and just charging ahead in the passion of the moment, only to encounter regret after I slow down ... and THINK.

What about you?  What are you so engrossed in that you may be missing God-given opportunities to pause ... and THINK ... between the rooster's crows of your life?

"And when he thought about it, he wept. (Mark 14:72)

Forgiveness, The Highest Expression of Love

Forgiveness is the highest expression of Love.  Jesus, the embodiment of God's forgiveness, is THE HIGHEST expression of God's Love for you and me.

Satan does his level best to trick us into living with the spiritual cancer of unforgiveness because he KNOWS its destructive force in clogging up our supply lines from Father God.

Consider this well: Jesus put forgiveness as THE SOLID FOUNDATION (absolute prerequisite) for asking and receiving anything from God?  (Mark 11:22-26)

So if you may have a stack of prayers that seem to have gone unanswered, I encourage you to ask and allow the Holy Spirit to take you on a 'tour d'horizon' of things you may have buried deep in your spirit -- hurts and wounds that could trigger deep seated unforgiveness.

Even medical science is concluding that just about all dis-eases have their roots, not in physical things, but in non-physical (spiritual) things.  It is these things that impact the quantity, quality and flow of oxygen in our blood stream.  The life of our bodies is in the blood, and the life of the blood is the level of oxygen therein.  The first physical sign of dis-ease is the reduction and eventual cessation of oxygen to certain stressed cells.  Unless this condition is reversed, it is down hill from there.  Oxygen supply....think of it.  To this, add the damaging effects of bathing our bodies in a steady flow of stress hormones, released by parts of the brain, under direction of the amygdala, in response to any perception of "Danger, Danger!", be it real or otherwise!  The unseen and unbelieved link is between (a) spiritual hurts, wounds and their related unforgiveness, (b) oxygen supply to stressed cells, and (c) stress hormones that weaken our immune systems.  Prayer and forgiveness, on the other hand, release healing relaxation hormones and likely stimulates easier, more healthful breathing.  This is all definitely worth pondering and praying about.

It is possible to learn to forgive even when "feelings" of forgiveness are not present.  How?  Just like Nike says, "Just DO IT!"  Do it BY FAITH, saying out loud as often as you remember the offense, "I forgive _____ for _____".  Why not join me in practicing this approach?  Our tongue is our greatest forgiveness tool.  Imagine that.

Got sickness and disease?

Once forgiveness is on track, the next step is to rebuild our inner image of ourselves, not as sickly, but as God's Word paints His picture and video of us -- healed, healthy and wholesome in Christ.  Whichever picture we have of ourselves in our spirit (sickly or healed/healthy by Jesus' stripes), will impact our outer man ... eventually.  You see, the picture we hold of ourselves inside is our true BELIEVED REALITY, and it will eventually shape our physical moment-to-moment ACTUALITY.  This inner picture is shaped and colored by whatever we think on the majority of our mental time -- whatever covers most of our 'mental landscape'.  Whatever we focus on mentally, we MAGNIFY.  And whatever we magnify mentally eventually seeps down and waters whatever 'belief seeds' we have planted in our spirits.  The fruit (experiences) of our life comes from seeds sown, watered and nurtured in our spirits; and the sowing, watering and nurturing process begins in our minds, and is fed by what we look at, hear and speak about most often.  THIS is why the pre-incarnate Jesus commanded Joshua to "...Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."  (Joshua 1:7-8)

While this insight is not new to us Christ-believers, perhaps a helpful, timely reminder may be exactly what we need ... at this very moment.

Rich blessings!
