Our misguided responses, and results...

Adapting to judgments in ways diverse,

Triggered predicaments that were much worse!

Q: How can that be?! To survive was our only goal!

A: We simply dug ourselves deeper, in sinful holes!!!

Our responses were defensive, without repentance.

Before The Lord, wouldn’t that be seen as our imprudence??

With what concerned Him, we showed no diligence.

That nullified our defensive resistance.

To sin-judgments, we respond with blameful parlance,

In failed efforts to proclaim our own innocence;

Then with money to develop programs,

And with science to break through tough logjams. ¹

Though, to us, our responses may have been effective,

They didn’t address root issues, from Heaven’s perspective!

Think…

What happens when we chop down a massive tree,

But leave the stump and roots in the ground …free??

To famines, we adapted by/with _____.

To wild beast attacks, we adapted by/with _____.

To warfare, we adapted by/with _____.

To pestilences, we adapted by/with _____.

Go ahead. Fill in the blanks based on what you know,

And think, from many, how more sinfulness did grow:

More at levels personal, familial, societal,

And don’t forget levels national and international.

Linking the 5 levels, to 4 judgment types we ‘knocked down’,

Yields 20 LARGE tree stumps with roots that we left in the ground.

Because, to us, the root systems are invisible,

We think our adaptation jobs, were impeccable. ²

At the 5 levels, those 20 trees will grow back, with vengeance!

And once again, we’ll surely respond …without any penance.

Spiritually-imperceptive we are,

And thus we shall be, as planet Earth, we mar.

It’s time to redefine what we’ve called, ‘climate change’.

And to stop allowing gross sinfulness, free range.

Perhaps, with genuine repentance, at the 5-noted levels,

The Lord will open our eyes to sin, and shut them to our laurels.

I’ve wondered whether the reason for the Millennial Reign,

Might be because spiritual wisdom, we’ve chosen to deign.

If so, you who are wise, please join me in this prayer:

Lord, Please speed-up your return, to relieve these pressures. ³

And those who fear Your Name, small and great,
And to destroy those who destroy the Earth.’ ⁴
