Q: What is your understanding about the devils/demons who married women and had children before the global flood? Do you think they will be released with satan at the end of The Millennial Reign age?
A: Thanks very much for your question. It refers to Scripture passages in (a) Genesis 6:1-4, (b) 2 Peter 2:4, and (c) Jude 1:6. Some of the fallen angels (now devils/demons) who had joined in Lucifer’s rebellion against Jesus, The Lord God, in Heaven, reportedly ‘left their proper domain’, became human men, married women, and sired children who became giants. It does not say what role they played in causing sinfulness on the Earth. Nevertheless, this clearly corrupted the DNA of their children, and that corruption would have spread widely over time. Genesis 6 suggests this may have been a factor in The Lord’s decision to send a global flood to destroy all land life on Earth, except Noah, his family, and the animals who joined them in the ark.
The Lord reportedly judged these devils, and took them out of commission by locking them away in chains of darkness pending their final punishment. Thus, the 1/3 of angels who became devils, has been reduced by an unknown number. Shockingly, even with fewer devils ‘on his team’, satan has been very successful in grossly deceiving humans to sin, ever since The Garden of Eden.
Peter and Jude report The Lord cast them down to hell, (or below hell, per some Bible translations), and delivered them into chains of darkness, reserved for (or to) their final judgment, presumably at the end of the 6th age of history -- the ‘little while’ post-Millennial Reign age. See: Revelation 20:11-15.
Interestingly, The Bible does not address whether they were transformed back into spirit angels prior to being cast down for/to judgment. Ergo, it may be safe to presume they remain in the form of human men, but immortal. Neither does The Bible indicate satan and/or any portion of his crew will be immortal men when they are released after The Millennial Reign age. Ergo, it is likely safe to conclude: (a) only devils/demons in spirit form will be released after The Millennial Reign; and (b) those who became men will continue to be held in isolation pending their final punishment, namely being cast into the lake of fire with all other demons and devils.
A related question is whether these two groups will meet-up during The Millennial Reign? Revelation 20:1-3 state satan, and presumably, his entire kingdom on and above Earth, will be cast into ‘the abyss/a bottomless pit’. There is no Bible indication whether that place is the same place where those devils who became men, are being held. Ergo, it is safe to conclude, they may be separate places, and that these two groups of devils will meet-up in the lake of fire.
Interestingly, devils/demons won’t be the first, eternal residents in the lake of fire. That ‘privilege’ will be reserved for the anti-Christ man and his prophet. They will be cast therein at the end of the apocalypse – the great tribulation, per Revelation 19:20. That’s over a thousand years before devils will be cast therein!
