Hey, how do you respond when The Lord drops a question,
In your spirit, on which you had made a presumption?
That’s when I block out time, determined to turn inwardly,
To learn what He wants me to perceive, strategically.
I have long presumed Ezekiel 38:13,
Meant Israel’s allies, concerned about her, then serene,
Would only note their sympathy about the invasion,
But wouldn’t be capable to respond on this occasion! 1
I knew the context is during the apocalypse,
When all nations will be in The Lord’s tight judgment grip,
After an anti-Christ treaty that will end in betrayal.
I thought, ‘Nations might be desperate for food on their tables!’ 2
Apparently, by global plagues, Israel won’t be wrecked,
And might be sheltered by what I call ‘the Goshen effect’.
If that’s the case, why will only a few nations invade,
Or, unlike today, her allies will not come to her aid?? 3
Into my spirit, The Lord dropped this perplexing question:
‘If they’ll be desperate then, what about Armageddon?!’
Oops! That was a hint to get out of tunnel vision,
And to broaden my narrow, contextual version!
In Armageddon, the final blow of the apocalypse,
Nations will have enough resources, their armies to equip,
Against The Lord and His saints, all GLOWING like krazy!
Yet the above verse predicts a response that’s …puny!!! 4
At a time when Israel won’t have a military,
Why do you think her allies won’t respond aggressively?
Send meyour thoughts on this question.
Later, I might share my notions.

1 That is, respond as they do in our day. See: Revelation – Future Attacks in Israel and also Missed Insights in Ezekiel (Series).
2 See: Revelation (Series of Series), which includes a summary of the predicted apocalypse that Jesus called ‘great tribulation’.
3 If my presumption was correct, I should have asked why wouldn’t more than just 5 nations invade Israel, not just the few described in Ezekiel 38, or capable allies come to her aid in a time of need? Admittedly, on this point, I had tunnel vision.
4 This point could possibly be a strategic hint that other nations may well have other reasons for not joining in the invasion, and/or for not intervening with direct and indirect support to Israel in her time of dire need.
