Revelation - Unsealing the Scroll (Poem, Part 2)

In a real sense, Revelation is The Lord’s ‘battle plan’,

To reclaim, then re-assert His authority on Earth,

That Adam’s sin transferred to satan and all his cohorts.

Because His thoughts and His ways are so much higher than man’s,

He bid us…

‘Come up hither; learn to think like Me, via My new birth.

Trust that, to higher heights, My Holy Spirit will escort.’ ¹

 

Soooo…..

What do the Revelation scroll and its seals infer??

And when were, or will they be opened??

As you might imagine, opinions ‘run the gamut’.

Our imaginations they endeavor to capture,

Notions of The Lord’s plans to broaden.

Herein I’ll share mine. Please comment below to rebut.

 

The 3^rd age of humanity is 2,000+ years old,

Having begun in the first AD century.

(Pentecost)

Earth’s population soared to unimaginable numbers!

Protests produced leaders itching for some people to control.

Thus, many new nations emerged, audaciously.

Each nation then sub-divided societies and cultures. ²

 

My, my, my…

What a ‘boiling stew of a world’ in which more conflicts would thrive,

Where devils tempt and prompt sinfully-minded people,

And expanding technologies present …‘better ways to sin’! ³

Resource scarcities prompted people to connive and contrive,

And increasingly to do things that are unlawful. ⁴

That’s us since Adam, but since the cross, we’ve been in

…a tailspin!!!

 

‘Why since the cross?’, are you perhaps wondering?

The cross and Christ’s resurrection emphatically confirmed,

The Lord God’s Genesis 3:15 age-old threat to satan,

That devils on Earth had long been pondering.

To satan’s kingdom, this signaled, ‘Your time is short! Affirmed!!!’ ⁵

They ALL fear the rise of the 5^th of The Lord’s ‘ages 7’. ⁶

 

Ergo…

History reveals the first four seals have been opened.

It’s the 6^th seal that makes satan and his cohorts quake!

It previews ending the first promise land invasion,

After, by early shocks, the world will have been bludgeoned.

That’s when The Lord promises His creation to shake!

Armies won’t know attacking Israel is …a trap from Heaven! ⁷

 

So what about the odd 5^th seal??

Read it as an implicit warning,

To people in the tribulation,

Who, to the anti-Christ, won’t kneel.

Imagine the mourning and scorning,

As they face …their decapitation!

 

I believe many of these people will likely be,

Those who will have embraced a fake Christianity.

Lukewarm, believers who are ‘Christianesque’ .

Though they will have missed the rapture, most won’t bow a knee,

When the anti-Christ declares, ‘I am God. Worship me!!!’

Those who reject his mark, in Christ will rest. ⁸

 

Seal  Status   Previews (Revelation 6 and 8:1)

  #2       ✓        A killing spirit is released

  #3       ✓        A spirit of economic distress is released

  #4       ✓        Spirits released for wars, famines, pestilences & 

                        beast attacks

  #5       ?        Spirits of martyred saints are told to be patient

  #6       --        Quakes across the Earth and cosmos; the sky is ‘rolled up’; the sun darkens, 

     moon turns bloodish color, stars fall, etc., etc. ⁹

  #7       --        Short silence as angels prepare the 'trumpet judgments’

⁵ Consider this re. fruits of the 4^th seal: The Roman Empire was the fourth global hegemon nation noted in the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, recorded in Daniel 2:40. This empire ended circa 530 AD, just after the mid-point of the first AD millennia. Since then, the scramble among nations to achieve hegemon status, with power to influence and pressure other nations to conform to their will, has exploded! This has triggered innumerable wars across the world, which, in turn, triggered massive migrations, economic distresses, poverty, pestilences, etc. This is the classic work of satan and his kingdom of demons manipulating humans on a truly massive scale. They know their time is short before they will be locked away for a thousand years during the 5^th  age of human history, namely Christ's long-promised Millennial Reign! The natural results have been, and continue to be mounting, persistent, global sinfulness, which The Lord has promised He must and will judge, with His four, top judgment henchmen: wars, famines, wild beasts attacks and pestilences. See: Ezekiel 14:12-23 and also Four Henchmen, Explained. Consider the inter-relationships between these henchmen, and how they have played-out since the end of the Roman Empire. This is the history of the current, 3^rd age (post-cross - Church age) of human history. And though human intelligence has grown remarkably, we largely STILL remain voluntarily deaf, dumb and blind to What’s Really Going On. Ezekiel 8 - 9 give us insights into some of The Lord’s modus operandi He uses to issue His judgment decrees.

⁶ Namely, The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ and all His bona fide (tested and proven) saints. During this time, every devil will be locked away, per Revelation 20, unable to tempt and deceive any human being. For an in-depth understanding of this, search this blog for ‘Millennial Reign’.

⁷ In Haggai 2:6-7, The Lord promises ‘once more’ to shake heaven, Earth, sea and dry land’. I believe the first time this occurred was likely just before, or during the global flood. (See: Global Judgment Parallelisms (Parts 2 and 3B)) There are five references to earthquakes in Revelation, two of which correlate with specific (numbered) judgments -- the 6th seal and the 7th bowl judgments. Of these two, only the 6th seal triggers cosmic disturbances.
