Revelation - Seven Trumpets Sound (Poem, Part 1)

To The Lord Jesus, Who dwells in eternity,

A thousand years is ‘as a day’, reportedly. ¹

Perhaps that is why there are often significant delays,

Between when He pronounces things,

and when, on Earth, they’re displayed.

Thus, we’re inclined to discount, then disregard what’s in His Book.

When our desire to read it wanes, it seems like …gobbledygook!

To enhance your understanding, here are some key points I’ve learned:

When fallen angels and humans decided The Lord to spurn,

His multi-millennial strategy was His response,

Comprising seven ages, leading to a 'renaissance'. ²

His global judgments trigger transitions between these ages.

All this is cloaked in, and between The Bible’s books and pages.

Like a wise General commanding a powerful army,

The Lord devised a multi-faceted attack strategy,

To reclaim, then re-assert His ‘Lordship authority’,

Given to Adam, who gave it to The Lord’s enemy.

Revelation depicts the final parts of this strategy,

In such a drastic manner that manifests His sovereignty.

The Book of Revelation, so unique in The Bible,

Accents the last four-of-seven ages, transitional.

From the Church age-to-eternity, scenes predictive,

Depict highlights of each age from Heaven’s perspective,

Scenes that stretch and challenge our wildest imaginations,

And that trigger a myriad of interpretations.

Written not long after Jesus’ ascension in victory, 

It’s based on a vision that reveals His God-ship, vividly.

This signals the significance of His cross in history.

His cross and this book are the fulcrums that harmoniously,

Shift Heaven’s focus to how this third age will close-out, ³

Then to what from it, in Heaven and on Earth, will sprout.

First…

Opening seals on a scroll previews 5 focused offensives.

Four are both historical, and increasingly intensive!

These initial attacks are people-focused and land-based.

Of what’s to come, for centuries, these serve as mere foretastes.

Yet people don’t perceive any connections to sinfulness,

Hence, the increasing intensity of attacks’ frightfulness! ⁴

Opening the seals pictures His attack strategy,

Covering the third and fourth ages of history.

History reveals the first four seals have been opened.

The sixth ‘previews’ the war Ezekiel envisioned.

The fifth and seventh seals are not Earth-centric.

To understand what’s next, those points are basic. 

Next…

The fully opened scroll sparks attacks diversification,

The Lord expediting His ‘Earth sin de-contamination’.

Seven angels with trumpets sound judgments apocalyptic,

Gruesome attacks, all because of our sin nature, adamic.

These judgments signal the start of global domination,

Preparing Earth for Christ's Millennial dispensation. 

Curiously…

They emphasize destroying ‘a third’ of X, Y and Z, ⁵

Disrupting Earth’s environment, systematically.

For five months, by strange insects, people are tormented,

To the point that attempted suicides are thwarted. 

Afterward, massive, 200 million strong army,

Slaughters a third of all remaining people, brutally.

Trumpet    Judgments (Revelation 8 and 9)

   #1           A third of the trees and all green grass are burned up 

   #2           A third of the seas become blood, killing a third of the sea 

                  creatures, and destroying a third of the ships

   #3           A falling star embitters a third of the rivers and the spring

                  waters, killing many 

   #4           A third of the sun moon and stars are darkened, and a third 

                  of the day and night do not shine

   #5           Horse-shaped locusts with human-like faces, teeth like

                  lions, and scorpion-like tails and stingers, torment people

                  5-months, causing them to seek, but not find death

   #6           A massive, great army kills a third of remaining people

   #7           With lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, 

                  and great hail, an angel declares The Lord’s victory. 

                  The ark of the covenant is revealed in Heaven’s temple.

² The Lord’s multi-millennial strategy for humanity comprises 7 ages: (1) pre-flood, (2) post-flood/pre-cross, (3) post-cross (Church Age), (4) tribulation/great tribulation, (5) Millennial Reign, (6) post-Millennial Reign, and (7) eternity. His ‘renaissance’ begins with re-creating repentant humans, made in His tripartite image (spirit, soul, body). First, the human spirit is re-created via His born-again salvation experience, expressing faith in His sacrificial death that atones for one’s sins. It continues with His command for us to renew our soul through diligent Bible study and practice of Christian principles to develop The Mind of Christ within us. Then, in the resurrection, we will receive a new, eternal, glorified body just like His. ³ The Book of Revelation was written near the end of AD 100. The cross signaled the predicted turning of Heaven’s focus away from Jews and Israel, to Gentiles across the whole world. This is commonly referred to as the Church age in which His salvation is offered to ALL peoples. In prophetic books of The Old Testament, The Lord explained how, why and when this change of focus would occur, and also how, why and when His focus would return to Jews and Israel. Revelation explains how the Church age will close-out, and Heaven’s focus will then be on this greatly expanded Israel during His Millennial Reign when He will rule the world through ‘spiritual (grafted-in) Jews’, namely resurrected, immortal, born-again Christians.
