What If? (Subsequent Creations)

Have you ever wondered what Genesis 1:1-2 might strategically infer, especially since The Lord has no beginning? This chapter very briefly refers to the creation of the universe, then it quickly shifts to an Earth-centric focus. This shift seemingly signifies a purposeful link between the two, as if the overarching purpose of the universe is to 'host' the Earth, revealing to mankind the majesty and grandeur of The Lord God Almighty. From Genesis 1:1-to-Revelation 20:10, our planet clearly is the revealed center stage of Heaven's grand strategy for all humanity! Until…it isn’t.

 

Consider these three inferences…

 

The first inference of Genesis 1:1-2 is, ‘Something awful may have happened between these first two verses to make a presumably perfectly created Earth, hosted in a presumably perfectly created universe, im-perfect! The so-called Gap Theory attempts to answer this question. It postulates something significantly negative may have occurred between these introductory verses to make Earth, part of The Lord’s perfect creation, imperfect. The theory suggests it may have been the cataclysmic impacts of fallen angels slamming into Earth following their ex-communication from Heaven after their failed attempted coup d’etat when Lucifer tried to de-throne Jesus as The Lord God. ¹

 

The second inference I perceive from Genesis 1:1-2 is that, The Lord was/is still in the creation and creation re-shaping business. He later thrice confirmed this point:

 

1. He substantially re-structured Earth following the global inundation. (See: Genesis 10:25) This is the Earth Noah, his family and we, their descendants, have inherited, long enjoyed, and increasingly abused.

 

2. He promised to restructure Earth again, substantially! His next restructuring will be for His Millennial Reign on Earth. It will feature (a) a greatly expanded Israel, ² (b) a totally restructured Jerusalem; (c) a common language for all peoples; (d) a return to the original diets for people and all animals, and (e) possibly a unified/uni-continental landmass. ³ This is the version of Earth the relatively small group of tribulation remnants (i.e., survivors) will inherit at the end of the 4^th age of history, the short tribulation age. Their descendants will enjoy long, prosperous lives in it for over a thousand years during the Millennial Reign and the post-Millennial Reign ages, respectively the 5^th and 6^th ages of human history. It might be equivalent to, or approximate the pristine version of Earth during the first age of our history that lasted about 1,600 years before the global inundation.

 

3. He made an unimaginable prediction to only one man, the Prophet Isaiah and then later, He revealed it in a vision to another man, the Apostle John. ⁴ The prediction was The Lord’s culminating plan to create a NEW universe that will host a NEW Earth, which, for now, is the concealed center stage of Heaven's grand strategy for all humanity, throughout eternity! As noted in other posts, I figure by now, that job is completed, and that new Earth is very likely the place to which His 1st and 2nd ages saints were raptured after their resurrection event summarized in Matthew 27:51-53, thus fulfilling the second points in Psalm 68:18 and Ephesians 4:8.

 

Could there be a possible third, much broader and more strategic inference from Genesis 1:1-2? Since space is reportedly unlimited, and The Lord has no beginning, what if He has been performing other creations...since forever, past??? The time with which He has been and remains concerned with THIS current universe, and us on Earth, is not even a speck in eternity past.

 

Consider the New Earth…

 

Indications are that the new, eternal Earth will be a MASSIVE planet, capable of hosting every human being who will have ever been conceived and thus endowed with ‘spirit’ on this current Earth …since Adam! Imagine that!!! No mere human can perceive, nor can any computer calculate that number. We will be divided into two groups (saints and sinners). All deceased and aborted humans who will have been resurrected into immortal bodies, along with people who will still be alive at the end of the 6^th age (the post-Millennial Reign age), will be raptured onto the new, Eternal Earth. Scriptures reveal the new, eternal Earth will comprise three unique/very different geographic zones – two glorified zones (including the New Jerusalem and nations of glorified saints, per Revelation 21), and the damned, lake of fire zone, per Isaiah 66:24, Revelation 19:20, 20:15, and 22:14. Imagine the sheer size that Earth must be to accommodate every person ever conceived on this current version of Earth. ⁵

Scriptures reveal the new, eternal Earth will comprise three unique/very different geographic zones – two glorified zones (including the New Jerusalem and nations of glorified saints, per Revelation 21), and the damned, lake of fire zone, per Isaiah 66:24, Revelation 19:20, 20:15, and 22:14.

 

Moreover, what if that promised eternal Earth is SO MASSIVE as to also accommodate beings (saints and sinners) from OTHER universal creations that The Lord may have been, is now, and may continue to be up to ...since eternity, past and future?!!! Apart from what The Lord revealed to the Prophet Isaiah and Apostle John, I have no evidence that other universes exist, possibly apart from the one that may be currently hosting the brand new Earth noted above. But neither will I think to limit the creative possibilities of The Lord God Almighty! 

Consider the New Jerusalem...

The New Jerusalem will be (and might currently be) the equivalent of the 'capital city' of the new Earth. As described in Revelation 21, this MASSIVE city will be, or already IS: 

  --An approximate 1,400 mile cubed city

  --Built on 12, presumably massive foundations of 12 precious stones

  --Enclosed in 4 massive walls, ~great and high (no height dimension        given); each 216 feet (72 yards) thick

  --Adorned with a total of 12 massive, always-opened gates (3 on each side of the cube), each 

    gate being a massive pearl

  --Roughly a total area of 2,744,000,000 (that's, 2 billion, 744 million) cubic miles!!! 

Minds blown yet??

 

This city will comfortably and eternally rest on top of a great and very high, non-eroding, mountain. Imagine what such an edifice would look like on our current version of Earth, and how it would impact her daily rotations, seasonal tilts, and annual orbit. (Search the web for various ideas.) There clearly is NO mountain range on Earth today that could support such a massive edifice.

 

The MAGNIFICENT GLORY LIGHT of The Lord, from within that city, and from us, His saints in the glorified nations across this new Earth, will light this massive planet, resulting in no need for a sun to give light, or around which this planet will rotate. Thus, I wonder …what will be the strategic purpose for the celestial bodies in the new universe? We can only trust The Lord has a clear purpose for it all.

Question: To you, what does the predicted relationship between the New Jerusalem city, and the nations of righteous peoples across this planet, indicate? To me it indicates a 'hegemony-type relationship' that existed between ancient cities (e.g., Babylon, Rome) and the nations they conquered.

Ponder this…

Friends, there is no Biblical indication Adam and Eve had any clue about this end to the human story The Lord had in mind. The prophetic word picture we have of this end, is based on the incredible vision He gave to Apostle John circa AD 95. But what if Adam and Eve knew what they would be sacrificing for the sake of one fleeting moment of sin, and knew what they would forever be cascading onto the whole human race as a result of their initial sinful act of disobedience?? I wonder, had they known, would they have obeyed The Lord??? 

 

More importantly, now that you know ‘the end of our story’, are you???

² See: Our Land-minded God. Israel currently occupies a mere sliver of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants, through Isaac and Jacob. Recall, The Lord also promised to bless Abraham’s first child, Ishmael, and his descendants (Arabs). Ishmael’s descendants have long occupied the majority of The Lord’s ‘divided land’ across the Middle East. This is a key strategic point, especially as Israeli settlers in our day are actively dispossessing weak, poverty-stricken Palestinians, (most of whom are reportedly Arabs), of lands long occupied by their ancestors. But these settlers (and Christians who are concerned about ‘not dividing The Lord’s land’) won’t dare challenge the several strong, wealthy Arab nations to give up their portions of lands promised to Jewish descendants of Abraham. How strategically conflicted both groups must be!

 

Ponder this… Ishmael was ‘in Abraham’s loins’ when The Lord initially blessed Abraham. This was long before The Lord promised to blessed Ishmael and his descendants after Abraham had dispossessed his first son, at the insistence of his wife, Sarah. Hence The Lord blessed both descendant groups of Abraham. And for now, many, if not most of Ishmael’s descendants, ‘possess’ the largest portions of the ‘divided promised lands’. This will very likely change in The Millennial Reign. This broader perspective should help us to perceive more clearly, and therefore to understand current-day land struggles on the sliver of land Israel now occupies. Search the web for maps of the much wider promised land.
