And the lasting results that from them stem.
We all aim for the best choices possible,
Then prepare for the results most probable.
From our own key lessons, we all try to learn,
So from poor choices, again we’ll not be burned!
Our personal experiences are the best teachers.
You might even say they’re also our very ‘best preachers!’
Good and bad choices of others, some may investigate.
But their key lessons we often fail to interpolate.
To these, we don’t pay a great deal of attention.
Thus, we don’t view them with a ‘learning intention’,
Lessons we learn help to shape our internal ‘vision’,
But apart from life’s lessons we have internalized,
Our life’s vision will very likely not be well advised.
In areas where we lack vision clarity,
With heart and mind darkened to righteous possibilities,
We’ll cast off restraints, and stray beyond safe peripheries.1
Then we’ll either quickly learn to respect
God’s safety bounds,
Or go much further and deeper, led by haughty hellhounds.
The first road leads to Grace, and good
‘outcomes resultant’.
The second will attract God’s eventual judgment.
Wherever, whenever, however His judgment may fall,
Rest assured, Friend, it will be His
‘back to righteousness’ call.
But if by His call, we are just too busy to be wearied,
After we’re expunged, an attentive remnant
will heed indeed! 2
Yet, there is a much easier, better way to learn,
So as to minimize life’s lessons that really burn.
No need to tread pridefully devils’ primrose path!
We’ll chose to be restrained by God’s Word ...or His wrath.3
