That’s JUST-T’IS

According to God’s Word, The Bible, one-third of God’s angels revolted, led by satan. Two-thirds remain faithful, obedient and holy. Of the one-third, some left their angelic domain, became man-like, took human wives, and corrupted the human race. Their offspring were giants, and they spread wickedness across the land. Noah’s bloodline remained pure human, un-corrupted. Everyone else (except his three son’s wives) was judged in the worldwide flood, which science now affirms did indeed occur. (See: Genesis 6)

But two important parts of this story are generally unknown and untold, but are worth pondering.

1. The first is what happened to these angels who committed this additional, gross sin?  Why is this question important?

Since angels were created as immortal beings, it stands to reason the watery flood had no effect on them! They cannot be killed as mortal human beings can be. The Bible reveals and twice affirms God locked them up, took them out of commission, pending their final judgment. (See: 2 Peter 2:4-5 and Jude 6) This means satan’s kingdom, the one-third of the angels who revolted, has been diminished, thank God! Though we don’t know by what amount or percentage, the fact is there are fewer devils dogging our paths now than there originally were. Hallelujah~

2. The second is what of their final judgment do we need to know? God has delegated all judgment to Jesus Christ. (See: John 5:22) We know some delegated authority can be re-delegated. The Bible reveals authority to judge angels has been delegated to, and reserved for……(drumroll)…. us born-again Christians! (See: 1 Corinthians 6:3) I suspect God’s holy angels will not need to be judged, as they have remained faithful. This leaves the disobedient, wicked angels who revolted, and especially (hopefully) those who corrupted our species! If so, imagine this:  demons being judged by the same race of people they long ago so horribly corrupted.
