Perceive His reply!
Man poisoned Earth and destroyed her environment.
In great desperation, she cried out, ‘Lord, HELP!!!’
In pity to her plea, He was benevolent,
And sent an angel in response to her yelp.
The angel hastened to strengthen Earth for the fight,
Relief from destructive ways to receive.
Strengthened, she then recalled her 1900s plight,
When, but for a while, she had a reprieve. 1
Now as she did just over a century ago,
To man, Earth is returning some blows!
Hey look! It only took a few new viral salvos,
Man’s prideful, destructive ways to slow. 2
Suddenly, global pollution levels are down,
Stressed animals can breathe sighs of relief,
And trees can produce oxygen, without a frown.
No help yet for Earth’s polluted waters’ grief.
Those stay-at-home orders forced crime to subside,
As unemployment levels went through the roof!
All markets were on a roller-coaster ride,
But to acts of kindness, folks were not aloof.
In just a few weeks the spirit of pride in our world,
Has been brought to heel as into humility …folk sink.
No longer are leaders’ prideful boastings being hurled.
They seem so clueless that, to The Lord,
boastings really stink! 3
Ahhh…
Only few folks who are sufficiently wise,
Know this is not the reprieve for which Earth yearns. 4
It’s just enough …to catch her breath and dry her eyes.
To his destructive ways man …will soon return!
This break is just another small down payment, if you will,
On the reprieve for which Earth longs, majestical.
That’s when it will be man’s time to swallow his bitter pill,
When Jesus Christ rules Earth, His Reign Millennial.
But before that glorious Day of The Lord arrives,
Earth must continue to bear mankind’s sinful payloads.
One day soon, of all righteous souls, Earth will be deprived.
That’s when on man, The Lord will unleash
...judgment payloads!
Friends…
Trust me, you don’t want to be here in those days,
When life on Earth becomes a living hell.
Since The Lord is kind, harsh judgments He delays,
And sent me to you, this story to tell. 5
